Publisher's Summary

When forced to choose between safety with the dragon organization Talon and being hunted forever as an outcast, Ember Hill chose to stand with Riley and his band of rogue dragons rather than become an assassin for Talon. She's lost any contact with her twin brother, Dante, a Talon devotee, as well as Garret, the former-enemy soldier who challenged her beliefs about her human side. As Ember and Riley hide and regroup to fight another day, Garret journeys alone to the United Kingdom, birthplace of the ancient and secret Order of St. George, to spy on his former brothers and uncover deadly and shocking secrets that will shake the foundations of dragons and dragon-slayers alike, placing them all in imminent danger as Talon's new order rises.

Way to much teenage angst

I've listen to all three books in the series and I wish I had bothered to write a review on book two. I did love the first in the series but as I made my way through book three, I began to remember how Ember's whining just about drove me up a wall. OK so she's a teenager and that's what teenage girls can be like but it was just about enough for me and I won't be bothered with the next in the series. So I just looked back to see who this book was for and it was for teens - 11 to 13. OK my bad, I should have paid more attention

Now we're talkin'

Initially I felt that the Talon series was more of a young adult series. Let me assure everyone that it's a good listen for anyone!

Overall Good storyline

the woman reading Embers part is very hard to listen to. I skipped the chapters she read. Story was great though.

teen drama mixed with fantasy

I admit with some guilt that I am enjoying this love triangle, fantasy young reader book. very similar in mant ways to the twilight series. Writing and reading is to bed expected from a young readers style book, not overly complex or emersive, but that makes them quick listens and easy to follow. If you are looking for something entertaining without taking itself too seriously this is probably a good series to go with. looking forward to listening to the next one

The Narrators Are HORRIBLE

Rouge is a great story, but not everyone can read it right. First, Garret. The person voicing him is all wrong, it’s, how do you say it. Just isn’t Garret-Like. Riley/Cobalt sounds like a four year old and Wes sounds like a three year old making of a silly voice. Ember is the least bad. The person for her is just a ‘lil too sweet-sounding. Though, the story is GREAT and the way it’s written is SUPER though I recommend just reading the paper version and not audible, sorry this app.
