Publisher's Summary

In a dystopian future, fertile women are so hard to come by that they are now bought and sold for huge sums of money across the world. You could say that women are now the new currency. Curvy Kira Southerly is one of the few remaining fertile women left on the planet and she has resigned herself to the fate of being sold.

However, she had no idea she would end up being sold to two young and handsome bachelors named Blake and Steven. They are both dragon shifters and they are intent on mating with her and producing a baby as soon as possible.

With not enough fertile women to go around the brothers have no choice but to share the curvy beauty among themselves. Something that allows Kira to fulfill her every sexual fantasy....

Being sold to dragons should not be this much fun, should it?

Fantastic Fantasy

I throughly. enjoyed the story. Thank you, Amira. Your story had my imagination. In high gear. The narrator brought the story to life with the way she used her voice. In. my mind eye I could then see each person. Meghan, great job.

Sold To the Dragons........

~The audiobook was provided by the narrator for an honest review~

Story –The story had a lot of potential, I liked the premise, it was just not executed very well. Some of the issues I have with the story; there is no explanation for how the dragon shifters came about, just the world had some extreme weather heat and cold, women have become less fertile and then wow, suddenly there are dragons, so world building could have been a bit better. When we first meet Kira she is very likeable but not so much further in, there were a few TSTL moments and then the whole “I’m not worthy to be a mother, to be with Steven or Blake, I have to prove myself” spiel had me rolling my eyes. The other issue that took away from the enjoyment of the story was the excessive use of so many clichés; “my most sensitive spot” “my femininity/parts/folds, lips” (used 30ish times), “stiff/steel rod” “erect/stiffened/stiffening manhood”. This is supposed to be erotica and be sexy and the use of all the cliché words just made me cringe and to me was not sexy at all. I was also disappointed with how it ended/wrapped up. I did not

Narration – I thought the narrator sounded familiar so went back to my audible library to see if I had listened to her before, she narrated a short story I listened to last year. I think her narration has improved from the issues I had previously and in this book I thought she did a good job. My complaint is mostly Steven’s voice, while Blake and the other male characters seemed to have a “normal” tenor to the voice, the one she gave Steven made him seem smarmy, and it seemed kind of out of place …on occasion she slipped into that same tone when speaking as Blake,

So all in all the story was not as good as I wanted it to be so 1.5/2 stars, the narration was good and 2.5/3 stars

Great sexy paranormal read!

Wow, this book is way better than I thought it would be. Sold to the Dragons is a sexy erotic paranormal story. It has a good plot and suspense too, along with hot steamy sex, romance, action, adventure & danger.

Kira Southerly lives in a very poor village and her family is starving. She agrees with her father to sell her at an auction for breeding purposes. The money they make will feed her family forever. At the auction block, Kira almost runs away until she sees her little brother drooling over a guards plate of food. Read along as Kira get purchased by a royal family of dragon shifters and 2 brothers compete for her hand in marriage.

I enjoyed reading this book and even found it to be a fun read. Lots of adventure in it too and an actual story to follow along with. The author, Amira Rain did a fantastic job writing this story. The narrator, Meghan Kelly fully entertained me with all her voices and accents. This book is a perfect example as to how a narrator makes a book even better to read / listen to! If I could have 1 wish, I would love to be able to ride on the back of a dragon as it soars through the sky! Good job ladies!

Meghan Kelly narrator

Would you listen to Sold to the Dragons again? Why?

I love listening to Meghan's voice. She was wonderful in this book as usual, the story was not complete. If only there were more explanation of how they got to this point in the story I would listen to the rest of the series.

Which character – as performed by Meghan Kelly – was your favorite?

The main female character, Meghan gave her just enough youth with her voice without making her sound childish.

Any additional comments?

This author is on the right track as I like supernatural stories and have listened to many, I will give her another try in the future.

50 shades of Dragons

I found this book to be a trifle hard to get through as I found it distracting. The story line is engaging and the narrator gives a wonderful performance. I would love to hear Meghan's late night pillow talk. I did have to listen with ear plugs as I had several awkward encounters with people while listening on speaker. Altogether, I highly recommend this audio.

3 Platypires

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would make it less repetitious. There are LOTS of instances where something is said multiple times in a small time frame. Also, the names used for the sex scenes... I know there are more than "steel rod" and "slick folds".

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

It was expected, but not bad. I was hoping for something else that fit with the rest of the story.

What does Meghan Kelly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I think she helped counter a lot of the repetition. I actually enjoyed her narration of it.

Do you think Sold to the Dragons needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It doesn't need one, but it would be nice to hear what happens.

Any additional comments?

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I did enjoy that there wasn't "f-ing" in this book, instead it was all "making love".

Simple, sweet and innocent.

Would you try another book from Amira Rain and/or Meghan Kelly?

Well, yes. This is a "pick-me-up," kind of a story. So in between all the horror books I read, something like this can be a welcome break.
I enjoyed listening to it. It is simple, sweet and innocent. Just what we lack in our daily lives, nowadays.
The narrator's voice Meghan Kelly, is very comfortable and clear, and easy on the ears. A bit pretentious when doing the male characters, but I'm sure many girls will find it endearing.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have liked the dystopian future world to be more believable. For example the people ought to have known more about the dragons. And the story could have done with some serious editing, especially increased vocabulary and a cut down on the repeated phrases.

I can imagine all the teenage girls out there gulping it up, although the book, as such can't be marketed towards them because of its erotic content. But they will find it, and read it, and enjoy it anyway, without mom and dad knowing.

Which scene was your favorite?

The beginning is wonderful.

Was Sold to the Dragons worth the listening time?

Nah, I'd rather get another book by the same authors.

Any additional comments?

I got a free copy of the audio version of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I wish hot dragon men shifters were real

I'm longing for a good dragon story. And I finally got one in this story. It was great with steamy sex and a good storyline.

It had a good start but...

I was all in, this book started off great but there was no fire, which is funny, cause of the dragon shifters. I mean, at first she's ready to run, then she sees two hot guys and does a 180. She says she going to write to her brothers, nope, she sure doesn't.

Oh and my favorite, all if a sudden they are all in love. Wait what? When did that happen. No seriously, what could have inspired love. I'm so confused. Just sped it up to get to the end. Ugh

All in all , a good book.

I enjoyed the book very much, I just had to try to ignore the readers idea of playing the male characters in a voice that made you want to barf. Other than that the book was well written. A book worth the time to listen to (or) read yourself which is a much better idea.

Good storyline

This book has a lot of action. Good characters with likeable personalities. I was a little bit surprised as to where the storyline went but it does leave it open for more books. Excellent performance from Meghan.

Nice idea

I liked the idea of the book but not so much the story. The main character was great at the start but I found myself disliking her increasingly as the book went on. The narration itself was ok but the voices for the males sounded identical to me.
