  • S5E8 Pet Loss is Real Loss with Dr. Jen Andrade
    May 1 2026

Pets. We love them so much—for many, they are our best friends, even part of the family. How did you process your grief when your beloved buddy went over the Rainbow Bridge? Did you acknowledge the loss of your furry friend or did society's belief that pet loss is incomparable to human loss force you to dismiss your pain?

Join Amanda and her Polkadot Powerhouse sister, Dr. Jennifer "Jen" Andrade, Chiropractor and AVCA certified Animal Chiropractor, for a sweet conversation about how important our pets are to us and why. The ladies also dip into the business side of Jen's life and the challenge she faced promoting her business in alignment with her introverted personality, an approach which eventually led to her success.

    They also discuss:

🔥 Pets may be a person's only source of unconditional love, making their death profound and life-altering for some

🔥 Jen's "soul dog" and how to identify if your dog is your "soul dog"

🔥 A dog's loyalty and lack of judgment fulfill certain needs in their humans, creating a deep attachment between them

🔥 Holistic care is available for your dog; signs that your dog may be in pain and needs to see a chiropractor

🔥 Different approaches work for different business owners—it depends on your personality and individual comfort level

🔥 The power of expressing emotions with clients in a heart-based profession

    Apr 17 2026
You've had a significant loss in your life and have moved forward. Have you considered how your innate and conditioned perceptions, unique personality traits, and personal values drive your forward motion? Have you wondered what motivates you and others to live the lives we choose? Join Amanda and her guest, Annah Elizabeth, speaker, healing specialist, and the creator of The Five Facets® Philosophy on Healing for an intriguing conversation about your intrinsic blueprint that blends science and soul and dictates how you move through life, and loss. The two women, both experienced in helping people heal their grief, also talk about: 🔥The Five Facets (or universal gifts): academic, emotional, physical social, and spiritual sides of the Self that exist in a hierarchy and impact every aspect of your life, especially how you handle loss 🔥You don't have to mourn your loss forever, if you choose not to 🔥All inner conflict comes from unresolved grief 🔥Reframing the "ultimate loss" as not death but as a loss that is significant to you 🔥Your attachment to the person, place, or situation that you lost is what is causing the most pain 🔥It is possible to heal completely regardless of your experience 🔥How the 2nd or 3rd year after a loss is often more difficult than the 1st About Annah Annah Elizabeth is a speaker, healing specialist, and the creator of The Five Facets® Philosophy on Healing—an intrinsic human blueprint that reveals how people are wired to think, feel, respond, relate, and find meaning in their lives. With nearly two decades of experience supporting individuals and communities through conflict, grief, and life transition, her work bridges science-informed insight with soul-level wisdom. Rather than focusing on fixing what's broken, Annah's approach centers on identity, awareness, and potential—helping people understand themselves and one another more clearly so healing becomes sustainable, compassionate, and empowering. Her work reframes unconditional love not as a feeling, but as a lived practice, a way of being, and a stabilizing force in times of uncertainty and division. Annah is the founder of HeartWise Healing Solutions and is known for creating grounded, accessible conversations that invite deep reflection, practical insight, and meaningful transformation. Her message resonates with seekers, leaders, and change-makers who are ready to engage in the next frontier of human healing—where love, identity, and conscious choice shape how we live, lead, relate, and evolve. Do you, a friend, or family member struggle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? What does PTSD or CPSTD even look like? And what tools are available to manage the symptoms?

Join Amanda and fellow local author and coach, Susan Snow, for a heartfelt and heart-wrenching look at the tragedy that took her father's life, leaving her with severe PTSD that went undiagnosed for 14 years, wreaking havoc on her life and causing troubles in her marriage.

Through honest, vulnerable conversation, the two ladies explore:

🔥The emotional mask of "Strong Susan" that she wore because everyone told her that's who she was, ignoring her true pain

🔥The importance of finding the right mental health professional who you feel comfortable with and who is proficient in modalities to treat your particular kind of trauma

🔥How crucial sleep is in healing, and the power of journaling to help you fall asleep

🔥Secondary trauma resulting from overexposure to traumatic images and visuals in today's media

🔥Joy is the opposite of fear, and you are allowed (and maybe even have a duty), to feel joy to combat fear

🔥The power you have to save a life with a smile

🔥How Susan's father's death has given her purpose
