Erica Scott is good at sniffing out embezzlers, frauds, and other financial criminals, or at least she was when she had a job. After an unfortunate lay-off, her options are limited. One path is to work with a narcissistic creep, her best friend's boyfriend. The other is Luna Lodge, a place controlled by the mysterious hybrids, the super-soldier products of a horrific genetic engineering project.

Sol, a hybrid and the head of security at the lodge, doesn't know how much he can trust Erica. Suspicious that the woman may be a spy for his former masters, the sinister Horatius Group, he is determined to keep an eye on her, but his body wants a lot more than that.

When someone targets the lodge, the suspect list quickly grows. Sol and Erica will have to fight against their burning passion and keep their focus to save themselves and the lodge.

I tried this series be I love the New Species series.... this is similar but not quite as well written. This book is very enjoyable, light reading. Erica is the human who falls for the sexy "altered" human ... who is being sought and persecuted by certain members of human society. If you like hot and steamy ... they definitely have a few moments worth the listen.

This book is great if you want a strong alpha desiring/cherishing/protecting HIS female.

I recommend for a light afternoon of reading. Worth a credit or sale ... not full price.

I believe this author has potential with stronger story lines and some intense editing. I will listen to the next book to see if it improves.

It's an OK read that borrows heavily from Laurann Dohner's "New Species" Catch it on sale.

and the narrator was HORRIBLE her male voice sounded like minnie mouse on crack, super disappointed in this book. i will not be getting any others in the series, if you want a excellent series check out the new species series from Laurann dohner
