Snow Day

Wow, I wish every audio book was recorded like this. It is so nice to have different voices and sounds. It just made the story that much richer! The narrators were great but Amanda Ronconi is my favorite!!!!!! Please make more. So good! Merry Christmas!!

Delightful

I don’t usually use the word delightful but it fits. Just a good short story. Not sappy. The right amount of introspect without being heavy. Extremely well done. I could envision all the scenes. The performers were top notch. Now I have the travel bug!

Different & Fun!

This is a super cute story and performed much like an audio play.

The story was sweet and charming. I very much enjoyed listening to this one.

The sound effects were a fun addition.

I believe Amanda Ronconi was the performer of the primary female and she has a lovely voice with a nice lilt.

Victor Bevine I believe was the primary male. I enjoyed his performance as well.

I will definitely look up this author also to see if she has more traditional romance books under her belt!

The cast did well performing and the sound effects went well with story. Only wish it was longer.

Ana eye rolling cliché Christmas

It was a free selection and I'd been wanting a nice Christmas listen. I can do cheesy and I can do romantic. I can even handle poor narration. This was none of those aside from heavy fake accents and a mother and child having the same choice albeit a slightly different pitch. No, this was.... I don't know. I'm still shaking my head. here are my major complaints that killed it for me an ultimately caused me to kill the listening party:

- The voices and acting were..... eh, I've had better but I've also had worse.
- The story *shrug* the story is what would happen if Bueller's Day Off & Trains, Planes, & Automobiles had a tryst with a Hallmark Christmas movie.
- The story is forced and rushed
- As I mentioned before, this was a free selection and only an hour long. I returned the book after 20 minutes in. I didn't even care to know what happened to the characters. I only know that what happened in my mind is better, and I'm half to report that John McClane saves Christmas again.

Don't get me wrong. My wife would probably enjoy the story. It just ain't for me, babe. I'm not he one.It ain't me.

Language

Good story ruined by an F bomb toward the end...can’t recommend to others. Totally unnecessary and spoiled the mood of the story.

Just what I needed

Yes, it’s formulaic. No, it has no overarching messages. And , somehow, restless old me was lured by the picture advertisement, and I loved it. Want more.
