Publisher's summary

Mortal-enemies-turned-furniture-breaking-lovers August Morrison and Ricardo Torralba have found a groove that suits them both. They’ve teamed up as hired guns, they live together, and by some miracle, they haven’t killed each other. It’s the closest to normal they’ll ever have, and they love it.

But, their guns-and-roses future is thrown into chaos when Ricardo’s past comes crashing into their present. What begins as a favor for an old friend - well, “friend”, but don’t tell August - quickly spirals into something far bigger than they anticipated. Now, they’re in way over their heads with powerful people on both sides of the law, and it’s going to take more than snark and explosions to see them through.

Nevertheless, there will be plenty of snark and explosions, because this is August and Ricardo, and no one would expect any less. In between the smoke and sarcasm, though, they are determined to bring an evil operation crashing down…no matter who they have to work with to get the job done and no matter who they have to kill.

Sniper vs Spotter is the sequel to the apparently-it-doesn’t-want-to-be-a-stand-alone Hitman vs Hitman, which absolutely was supposed to be a stand-alone, but August and Ricardo (predictably) refused to be contained. Our audiobook narrator also shares some of the blame, Michael. So, here we are.

Crime and Romance

This is second story in the series with more fast pacing action than first book. The MC personalities was more revealing with depth. Lo bed their banter back and forth which only added to their relationship.Since their work was unsavory, they were not the normal good guys.

great follow up

I missed August. His antics are crazy. This was a great follow up to the first vol.

Amazing

The team of L.A. Witt and Cari Z does it again. August and Ricardo are my favorite Hitmen in the world. Hope the fans can woo these two powerhouses into writing more stories with this winning duo. That being said Michael Ferraiuolo captured the characters perfectly. It’s very evident he loves them as much as we listeners do. A definite 5-star audiobook.

Another fun one!

These two authors together always equal fun, excitement, somebody killing somebody else, and some sort of HEA/HFN. August and Ricardo make me laugh so much with their bickering, and their sweetness for each other. Loved having some strong women in there...and well, book 3, can't wait.
Michael Ferraiuolo does a great job with the voices on this. Ricardo has such a strong accent, has to be a challenge. Meanwhile, August has several accents of his own, depending who he has to portray.
Great job by all on this book

Muuuch Better!

I was hesitant to purchase book 2 because the first one was meh.
These are new authors for me and I took a chance with Hitman vs Hitman and I just had to get this 2nd book just to see how August and Ricardo progressed.
This book was much better than the first but I do recommend reading the first book or some of this won't make sense.
There was lots of action and funny stuff. Not a lot of sexy time but enough to keep the love flowing.
I sure hope there will be more books with everyone. I believe there was a set up for a book three..,,I hope, I hope, I hope!!
plus you have the wonderful Michael Ferraiuolo, which is what drew me to this series to start with! I knew he would make this purchase even more with it!

Z, Witt, and Ferraiuolo make magic

I am so very much in love with Ricardo and August. Add Ferraiuolo to voice and narration magic happens.
The pacing is spot on. Character evolvement happens. Bad people get their unjust desserts.
Ricardo's ex, Eve, returns to his orbit trailing a Matt sized load of trouble. The sort of trouble that brings human trafficking into the crosshairs of August and Ricky.
Be prepared for a ride as it's an exciting one.
Now all I need is book three to be written, and narrated.

what a ride 😆

Would I listen to it again: yes ✔
Did the story keep me engaged: yes ✔
Was I invested in the characters: yes ✔

📖 Story comment: good pace, great characters, entertaining story.
Ricardo and August have delightful banter, entertaining personalities and another cracking adventure. There is a greater depth of character to Ricardo and August in this one, and I was completely absorbed in their story.

🎧 Narrator comment: Michael Ferraiuolo is fast becoming a master story teller. His performance with these characters is thoroughly entertaining. He suits the characters, has good timing, inflections and intonations, there is no doubting the connection between the two MC's and he brings life to every scene.
Ricardo's accent felt a little "softer" in this one, which I hadn't really thought about in the first one, but I listened to Hitman vs Hitman and Sniper vs Spotter back to back and it worked better. 👍 👍

Sequel Opposites Attract Enemies to Lovers Hitmen

Book two in a MM romance thriller series about two “opposites attract” “enemies to lovers” rival hitmen, Ricardo and August.

This series is a ton of fun, with lots of banter between the two leads, who are officially dating as of the start of the book, and working as a team with hit jobs. The fake identities and disguises they use are especially fun.

When Ricardo’s ex-wife seeks his help to protect her from her crazed ex-boyfriend, Ricardo’s former spotter in Spec Ops and now a trafficker, his past is stirred up and they find themselves pitted against an unknown cartel as well as the madman.

Some steamy moments, quite a bit of violence, and quite a bit of humor. Really enjoyed the audible audiobook narrated by Michael Ferraiuolo, which I was able to get at a reduced price by borrowing the ebook for free on kindle limited first.

“Sniper Vs Spotter” by Cari Z and L.A. Witt, sequel to Hitman Vs Hitman.
