Oslo, New Year’s Eve. The annual firework celebration is rocked by an explosion, and the city is put on terrorist alert. Police officer Alexander Blix and blogger Emma Ramm are on the scene, and when a severely injured survivor is pulled from the icy harbour, she is identified as the mother of two-year-old Patricia Smeplass, who was kidnapped on her way home from kindergarten 10 years earlier and never found. Blix and Ramm join forces to investigate the unsolved case, as public interest heightens, the terror threat is raised and it becomes clear that Patricia’s disappearance is not all that it seems....

Puzzling performance of a cracking story

Despite the assoorted characters' Cckney accents, this is a well-crafted story. I recommend it. I just don't understand why some characters sound as if they're from Londons East End.

The characters comes alive in this audio book, there story is great and i couldn't leave this book. i had to listen to the book in one go. when is next book available ?

Decent Police Procedural

Nice twists in the plot, limited character development, and a good representation of the peculiarly depressing Scandinavian murder mystery.

The use of a Scottish accent for several of the peripheral characters was a curious choice that I found distracting.

Decent, but I won't be actively seeking the next book in the series.

Not For Me, Apparently

I just don't seem to be able to get into this book. It may be that it's just moving too slow but I'm not sure. It's just not for me.
