Great series!

I devoured this series and can’t wait for book 3. It has everything I enjoy in a story - drama, interesting characters and character growth and development, hot sex, bittersweet situations, and crazy twists. So glad I stumbled upon this author in Audible. I searched and know she has other books, but Audible does not carry them. They need to fix that pronto! Make sure to start with book 1. Enjoy!

female reader had zero emotion while telling story she was too monotone. Male actor telling story had way better skill acting out story.

Wow, what a wild ride!

I loved that this didn't have the typical storybook ending. The only reason I gave the performances four stars was because the narrator talked SO SLOW.But, I just speed it up to about 1.30x (the fastest I've ever listened to an audiobook) and it was fine. This story was interesting, unique, frustrating, and brilliant. It made me feel a range of emotions and kept me guessing the whole time. Then when I put it all together just before the characters did, I found myself wanting to yell at them! An excellent book that honestly could have some great spin offs and even one more chapter would be great because it felt a tad unfinished. Not sure if the author did that on purpose or not (I haven't looked to see if there are more) but it has so many possibilities. I thoroughly enjoyed it, worth the listen for sure.

Love the book

I love Amelia's books. I've been a big fan for a while now. I was concerned that the narrator would be unable to capture the characters correctly but they actually did a pretty decent job. Although the female narrator doesn't do different voices for each character like I usually enjoy she still did a good job. I am glad I purchased both books. I will enjoy them several times over while i clean my house😊. I cannot wait until the next book.

These books are absolutely worth the credits. Also audible needs to get the rest of Amelias books on audible By this same pair of narrators. So worth listening to. I will buy the rest of the books to read and as soon as they come out on audible I will buy them that way as well.

I liked the books

The books where good but the ending sucked and made me sad. I was thinking she would come back to him but they fooled me.

ASSHOLE FOR SURE!

Lucian treats her like shit constantly. It's hard to recall him being anything close to decent to her throughout the first two books. Yet she still seems to want him regardless. I understand chemistry but come on. It doesn't make any sense to me. Chemistry or not, I'm not sure anyone whould have taken the abuse she has and still seems to crave him. Crazy!

Full of angst!

Wow! That ending broke my heart. Loved this story, Amelia does it again. Edge of seat drama and angst with romance! What’s not to love

Wow! What a twist!!

I can’t believe how that book ended. With such an intricate storyline, I don’t know why I’m surprised with the twist at the end. I enjoyed this book so much. I’m definitely going to listen to the next ones in the series. Brilliant performance. 

Such a good series

Favourite author, so gripping and plenary of twists and turns that always blow me away

Good but not great

Lost interest a few times throughout, unfortunately. Narrator's accent dropped a lot of D's (like pronouncing didn't "di-int") which was grating, and the writing style had modern language with an older way of speaking mixed in in odd ways; things like saying "daughter mine."

Dark Paranormal Romance

The continuation of the Playing with Monsters series.
A very dark romance book in Amelia Hutchins fae realm. Steamy, violent, and pushes boundaries, but with a story that you just can't stop listening to. Honestly, if you're looking at this book, you've probably already listened to the first book and you know what you're getting into.

Ends on a cliffhanger after forcing you to cry your eyes out.

Narrators are good. Amelia Hutchins world-building and storyline is amazing. If you enjoyed book 1, you NEED to listen to book 2!

Oh Dear

Great if you want to hear lots of caveman sex scenes being told in American accents. Terrible if you enjoy well written and well told stories. It got one star by accident and I couldn't figure out how to delete it.
