This was extremly an intresting story

Would you consider the audio edition of Slashback to be better than the print version?

Yes I would consider the audio edition of Slashback to be better because of the narrator adds to the story. MacLeod Andrews brings these characters to life, making them fell as if they can walk off the page.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This book is one that could be lessened to in one sitting, set aside some time to listen to this book because once you start to listen to this book you will not want to stop.

This book flashes between when Cal and Niko were kids and to the present day. I love to see how they have changed over the years and how they have stayed the same. If you liked the last books this is a must read.

This is another great story in the Cal Leandros series! I can't wait to listen to the next book. This is the 1st series I've listened to were there is a preview of the following book at the end of the book your currently listening to. Enjoy!

MacLeod's voices are perfect Thurman's story telling marvelous. Well worth listening to again and again.

Another great book in the series. Wonderful story and it really and it really gave me my urban fantasy fix

What an Entertaining Flash back to the Past Story!

I am normally not of fan of stories that flash back to the past and present but this story for Cal and Nicko was so smartly done, I was drawn into their lives and fell hard for both of them. You have human and non human monsters, action, a bit of comedy, gore, camaderie, and a wonderful narrator. Just everything that gives an audio story 5 stars and more!

And...

MacLeod Andrews is AMAZING, an absolutely amazing narrator! I believed his was the 11 year old Cal, I believed he was the 15 year old Nick, I believed he was the older versions of them and the secondary and background characters were believable.

He did such a wonderful job with each character he performed, then easily slipped back into the narration...just wonderful! And thank God from book 2 and on he is the narrator. I'm off to purchase the rest of the series except for book 1 of course. I'll just read that myself.

Whoever chose him as the narrator did an excellent job with their choice!

One of my favorite series!

I love this series! I can never get enough of it! And the narrator did such a killer job. The voices were EXACTLY how I’ve always heard them in my head.

I'm a huge fan of the series. this one did not disappoint. usually never know what's coming.

My favorite in the series

I'm usually not a fan of flashback stories but I loved this one. It was masterfully tied into the current timeline. For such a gritty story there was a surprising amount of humor. The last chapter ties up many of my questions about events during the series. I have thoroughly enjoyed the series but it appears that everything goes fubar in the next book and reviews indicate the final book ends on a cliffhanger. Rob (Robyn) Thurman indicated on Twitter she was displeased by fans not purchasing her other two series and it appears the final book was canceled. I'm disappointed but this seems like a good place to leave the series. I heartily recommend the first eight books and I'm very happy she changed readers after the first one. MacLeod Andrews was perfect.
