Before you use a credit....

Cutting right to the chase.....the only reason I took a chance on this book is because it's narrated by Lori Prince, whom I adore. However, I'm not sure why this is under the romance category. This book is 91% tennis, 9% "romance" and I use that term loosely. There is zero description during intimate scenes....no real emotions are talked about, there's no real passion. You're left to your own imagination. I want to be led through it.....that's why we buy these books. It is verrrrryyyyy slow starting out and takes forever before anything happens between the main characters. IF you love tennis you will love this book. The author really is a good writer but understand what you're spending your credit on before you use it.

Tennis!!

Competitive natures, mild rebellion, quick sparks, navigating injuries and missed cues...it's all there and wonderful. I really liked Slammed. It was a fun listen with the unintentional humorous bonus of Lori Prince's Hispanic accent (which sometimes sounded Hispanic, sometimes sounded Russian and sometimes sounded Indian). Soooo worth the listen.

Oh ya!

That was some most excellent lesbian romance! I greatly enjoyed this book. I believe it will be one of my all time favs. Tennis isn’t one of my sports...but this book has left me wanting to follow it more. I really appreciated the diversity of characters. I also appreciate the healthy competition among partners. I highly recommend this book.
