So Good!

I ate up Bunny & Hunters story & left zero freaking crumbs! Hunter our spicy somewhat rational golden retriever detective is everything I love in an mmc! Bunny our people deleting fmc is sassy, wild, & strong but also extremely guarded. Put the two of them together & they have easily become one of my favorite fictional couples!

The duet narration for this audiobook was exceptional! Shiloh & Gabriel were the perfect duo to bring Bunny & Hunter to life! They both delivered a jaw dropping performance. This audio is definitely going in my top listens for this year!

If you love dark rom-coms with banter for days, spice, & friendships like no other look no further!

Book #2 Serial Killers Book Club series

Bunny is best friends with Dove the babydoll killer and she is also a serial unaliver. Surviving an abusive marriage she is now strong, independant, and fiesty! I love Bunny and Dove so much. Bunny has this on/off relationship with the detective that is actively trying to take down The babydoll killer and the Siren killer. Hunter has been in love with Bunny since the first time they meet years ago when she was his contact on a case. It was love at first lap dance and he refuses to give up on making Bunny his.

Bunny has a past and it holds her back. She doesn't want to get hurt again by giving her heart, mind, body, and soul to a man. Though she knows Hunter is nothing liker her husband she can't get let her walls down.

Overall, this was such a good book. Dare I say I liked it even more than Dolls & Daggers... The story is interesting and keeps you entertained the entire time. The narrators are perfect picks to play these characters. D.L. Darby has giving us a book that has humor, strong female MC's, spice, and an HEA! Can't wait for book 3!

Stalkerish/serial k!ller vibes

Bunny and Hunter's attraction to one another is only fueled by their extracurricular activities. They both share the same hobby but only Hunter does not know this about Bunny.

While this is a dark story that gave me all the stalkerish/serial k!ller vibes that I really liked, there is a really good storyline as well. Bunny is dealing with something and while she does not need Hunter to protect her, it gives Bunny comfort to know that he has her back.

After finishing this book, I do want to go back and read book one, while I wait for book three. Narrators Shiloh James and Gabriel Spires are amazing! To hear them voice Bunny and Hunter and bring them to life is worth the listen!

Hunter... ugh

Okay about half way through the book I realized I was over Hunter! He really irked me. For someone so "understanding" of what bunny went through he was *enter appropriate intelligence insult here* can't have this get flagged.

Hunter: complains she doesn't let him in and doesn't understand why.
Also Hunter: does something mean, hurtful and petty to show her "it doesn't feel good does it"

She just offend her abusive husband, slept with you and left.... And had SOOOO much going on... But she hurt your feelings and that's the most important part to you. So important you repeatedly intentionally act like a.... To hurt her feelings and show her how it feels.... To punish her, but only after she has apologized and already tried to make up for it.

Also Hunter withholds information and dismisses her worries

No I don't think I like Hunter.

The narrators however I did like. The voice is probably the only thing that saved him a little bit. Both did a great job in this duet
