About this listen

When Sinners tie the knot, things don't always go as planned.

"Appetite for Seduction" - Epilogue to Backstage Pass

Lead guitarist Brian Sinclair may have finally won Professor Myrna Evans' heart and her consent to wed, but being part of a high-maintenance band might just ruin his long-anticipated wedding day and steamy wedding night. Will the couple ever find a moment's peace or are some things more important than a night of uninhibited love-making?

"Sweet Love of Mine" - Epilogue to Wicked Beat Drummer

Eric Sticks is determined to marry sweet and sassy soundboard operator, Rebekah Blake, on the spur of the moment. But can he really offer the love of his life the wedding of her dreams in a small, unplanned ceremony? And can Rebekah offer Eric the one thing missing from his life that never realized he wanted?

"Patience" - Epilogue to Rock Hard

Lead singer Sed Lionheart never really wanted a big fancy wedding. He just wanted the girl. But his hot-tempered fiancee, Jessica Chase, has her heart set on a memorable ceremony and she is determined to persist through the aggravation to have the wedding of her dreams. The ceremony turns out to be memorable, all right, but not necessarily in the way they'd planned. Can the stressed-out couple recognize what's really important on their wedding day, or is the honeymoon over before it even begins?

"November Rain" - Epilogue to Hot Ticket

Professional dominatrix Aggie "Mistress V" Martin is madly in love with bassist Jace Seymour, but she's not in any real hurry to marry him. She's not really the wife "type". That all changes the moment she lays eyes on the perfect place to say "I do". With more than one obstacle in their path to wedded bliss, will these two ever make it down the aisle or will everything fall apart at the whim of others?

The narration of this whole series was phenomenal, and each individual story brought tears to my eyes. This extended epilogue of most of the Sinner's bandmates stories is amazing and I loved catching up with all the couples.

Loved This Whole Series!!!

They were the wild Sinners, a metal band with all the groupies they could handle. Then, one by one they found their perfect women. The romancing was never simple, so why would you think their wedding would be? This was a wonderful farewell to the Sinners series.

Goodbye to the wild boys, but what a way to go...

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I was excited when I started listening to this book, to hear how the lives of the band members and their significant others have developed. However, the format did not work for me. First it was like reaching the peak of happiness in each couple and only living those moments. At the end it ended up too "sweet" and "sugar-y" throughout.

If you’ve listened to books by Olivia Cunning before, how does this one compare?

Unfortunately, and I truly mean that because I loved the prior books, this was not a great read.

What three words best describe Justine O. Keef’s performance?

Justine did a terrific job as always. Great way to pull off all the voices in one book! I knew who was speaking before she even said it! Amazing job with so many characters involved!

Could you see Sinners at the Altar being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Kellan Lutz as Sed could be fun!

Any additional comments?

Two key issues I have with this book are: 1) why was Trey's relationship not in this book while the rest 4 were included? 2) why bring up Brian's feelings toward Trey and leave them unresolved in this book? These didn't make sense unless there is another book in order just for Trey which would be odd.

Again loved all prior books, please read those before this one.

Loved all 5 books! Except this one...

Chapters listed relate to the audio.
Ch1: intro, Credits, ‘Appetite for Seduction’ epilogue to Backstage Pass. Brian wakes up the morning of his Wedding, after the infamous Bachelor Party the night before.

Ch11: ‘Sweet Love of Mine’ sequel to Wicked Beat. Rebekah got her clean bill of health and she and Eric are on the way to get their license and get married.

Ch22: ‘Patience’ epilogue to Rock Hard. This is the right sequence according to story/series timeline, not publication date. Seb and Jessica have a Very eventful Wedding Day and Honeymoon.

Ch31: ‘November Rain’ epilogue to Hot Ticket. Jace and Aggie have an experience with an old BDSM colleague of hers. Later they find Sudeley Castle in England while on tour and both have reactions. Aggie wants to get married there. (She said they’d know it when they saw the location.) Jace sees the ghost of Queen Katherine Parr who married Thomas Seymour 6 months after King Henry VIII died. Did I mention that he hears both of them talking?
I got a great kick out of Twey! And the wedding ceremony was the most meaningful and moving of any of the sinners. Sigh. From the rehearsal dinner ball onward was so enjoyable that I upped my story stars from 4 to 5.
Keef does a very good job of narration.

I’m going to have to read the Exodus End books to find out more about Dare.

four weddings and a threesome

Any additional comments?

I was actually surprised by the book, the first few band members weddings were just what I expected a lot of laughs and sex but Jace and 'Mistress V's story is totally different than the others and I really appreciated it. I love the other books and have listened to them all multiple times but I was starting to feel a bit smutty with all that sex and nothing really else to go along with it so it was really nice to have some substance in the last portion of the book. If you loved the first books you will really enjoy this one.

Not what I expected but loved it anyway!

What made the experience of listening to Sinners at the Altar the most enjoyable?

It was interested how Cunning combined the epilogues into one book to give the book a finale.

What about Justine O. Keef’s performance did you like?

Justine does an excellent job differentiating between all the characters/voices. Each voice sounded like a different person.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, not really. The book was divided into an epilogue from each book, so it was easy to pause.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes, I'd recommend this to anyone who loves the Sinnners and have already read the first 5 in the series.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I really liked Jase and Aggie's story, theirs was different from the others which was good. The least interesting may have been Brian and Merna's.

What does Justine O. Keef bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I've never been a fan of Justin O. Keef if i'm being honet. A lof of times she's rather monotone but she gets the job done. I do like her voice for Eric, she brings a lot of personality out of him.

Was Sinners at the Altar worth the listening time?

Yes some of it was.

Loved 2 of the 4

I love this compilation of the member of Sinners weddings! I was a great way to revisit the stories of some of my favorite band members!

Sinners fan for life!

Any additional comments?

I read other reviews that thought this book was a little disappointing, but I'm glad I bought it. I agree that a couple of the epilogues seemed a little drawn out, but still, nice to get POVs that we didn't get with the original books. Also, Jace and Aggie's epilogue kept me on the edge of my seat. Loved the paranormal twist. Can't wait to get the finishing touches to Trey's story!

Great finishing touches
