Two chance encounters. One great love.

While everyone around Carmello Caldo found love, he was busy losing himself in pleasure and pain. But when his cousin Lily wants to help him find true love, he doesn’t hesitate to accept her offer.

Arlo King is not Carmello’s usual type. She’s a bookworm who doesn’t give herself away easy. But she’s the perfect woman to help reform the serial womanizer, even though she has commitment issues of her own.

Quickly, their fake relationship goes from slow-burn to scorching hot from the very first touch. But can they work through their trouble pasts and embrace a fairy tale future?

Carmello & Arlo

I liked this book and I loved the fact that Connor Crais narrated just about all of it, but there are a few exceptions. First, they only have sex one time at the end. Second. the whole scene only lasted about 3 minutes. When you have Connor narrating, you need so much more. Granted there was a few scenes where they play around but even those had very little detail. With the type of person Carmello was written as, there should have been way more. His brothers book was lacking as well in that department. I read romance for those reasons but I also understand why the book was written as it was to show that Mello felt more than just sex for Arlo and that there was more to Mello than sex. It feel it just makes the characters feel more connected in my opinion. Some may like that and that's okay. I still loved hearing the story and I'll still listen to Rosie's book as well. I love books but this author. The whole Gallo clan is great. If everyone could have a family such as them, this world would be so much better. The texting was extremely funny.

Alphahole turns into a tender heart for his love

I was very curious to see how Carmello would fall in love after the tragic loss of his girlfriend. Let me tell you, though, without giving anything away, Chelle Bliss wrote this perfectly! Arlo's sweet and sassy personality was like a Ying to his Yang. The narrators portrayed this couple so well, too.

eh.. it's ok

Carmello & Arlo: triggers: Foster Care, sexual assault, adoption. While this book follows Rocco's twin, Carmello, I didn't find this book even remotely as enticing or page turning as "Ember". There are a couple of time jumps in the beginning of the book as Carmello and Arlo meet and continue to run into each other. Their meet -cute happens when Mello steps in to save Arlo from a very handsy man at a bar. They meet again when Mello is ready to settle down and his cousin Lily starts a plan to find out why he hasn't settled down already. Which, if you're following the series, you already know why, so this plan is rather dumb. She gets Arlo to pretend to be Mello's girlfriend to help him. Only, Arlo has already gotten into his skin and he wants more…. With her. It's not long before the two are together and have very hot, sexy moments together. Not bad but not really that interesting.

sweet

Mr Crais read all but the epilogue, which I 100% loved. Less se* than her books usually have, which I 100% loved. All around sweet story. The family text messages crack me up.

Delightful Slow Burn

Emotional, entertaining, witty, thrilling, passionate, beautiful, evolving, quirky, engaging, sweet, humorous, steamy...the list goes on. I loved that it was written as a slow burn, and watching the two MCs grow through out the book. It was great catching up with the Gallo clan again and those text groups were the best!
