Publisher's summary

When Spice asks Kyson Silver to fake a relationship with him, Silver agrees. He knows pretending to be involved with the older man will likely come back to bite him in the ass, but if the farce will help Spice and his young son, Silver is totally on board.

All too soon, the consequences of the fake relationship weigh on both Silver and Spice. Will a meddling grandmother, an adorable little boy, and a team of friends be enough to convince Silver and Spice to give a real relationship a shot?

Silver & Spice is a steamy, slow-burn M/M age-gap, fake-relationship, forced-proximity romance with a silver fox, a single daddy, and a younger man ready for a family.

This is the third book in the Silver in the City series. Each book focuses on a different couple.

Love this series.

Narrator did a wonderful job for this series

Finally. This is book three of the series. Bay and Kyson. Ok and Arlo because he is a big part of this story.

These two men have had a connection which starts on book one. Kyson really wants a relationship with Bay but Bay is not willing to take that step. He feels he would be holding Kyson back from freedom of a relationship that doesn’t start with a child involved. Pfft. Kyson loves Arlo already and he wants a family with them.

When they finally get their act together with some great intervention the sparks sure do fly. We see more of their connection and lots of dirty talking.

We get to see the other couples and what they are up to while they give great advice. That epilogue was awesome. It was everything I love to see. The bonus reads were perfect.

Can’t wait for the next series to see more of these guys

Friends Fighting Through a Mess of Feelings

Friends Kyson (34), cousin of the previous two books' MCs, and single dad Bay (48) agree to a fake relationship to secure a family inheritance for Bay's young son.

Both develop deeper feelings in the process but are resigned to remaining just friends, mainly because Bay thinks he's too old for Kyson and worries about saddling him with an insta-family. But Kyson is game for more, if only given the chance.

Book 1 MC Bode sums up the two men's almost romance to Bay rather well: "I see you and Kyson as totally worth the fight, just hope you'll both step in the ring." A bunch of family encouragement, a meddling grandmother, and forced proximity stranded in a cabin later, and Bay and Kyson open the floodgates on their feelings.

This story has a nice balance of internal angst, slow-burn relationship development, and steamy times. The found family aspect of the series among the three Silvers and their partners (who could all do with improving their dirty talk, just sayin') also plays a key role here and seamlessly blends into the love story.

Of the three books in this series, this was my favorite story and performance of narrator Michael Stone. He sounded more natural and at ease as the series progressed, and did a good job with the female and kid voices here too. I received a free review copy of this audio book and have left this honest review voluntarily.

My favorite!

This is my favorite book of the series. Bay and Kyson's story hit me in the solar plexus and Grandma Millie is a hoot! The thought of her buying...well...you have to listen to the book 😁

Bay and Kyson

Silver & Spice is book 3 in the Silver in the City series. This is an enjoyable slow burn, age gap, fake relationship, force proximity book about Bay and Kyson. Bay is a single dad and doesn't want to burden Kyson with parent responsibles if they are together so Bay keeps him in the friend zone despite wanting more. I love Bay's grandmother and her involvement in getting Bay and Kyson together. They really are better together for real and not pretend. And Arlo is just the sweetest.
Narrator Michael Stone does another fabulous job in the series.

loved it

I loved this book. Michael Stone really brings this story to life and makes you love the characters even more. Bay asked Kyson to be his fake boyfriend to help his son. But can Kyson suffer the consequences of the charade with his heart intact. He loves Bay and he doesn't know how to tell him his heart is involved. Can Bay's grandmother, son, and all their friends nudge them in the right direction? Will they grabbed the love of a lifetime or walk away?

Perfect ending

So I am always a little wary going into the final of a series and add into that my most looked forward to couple and the chance of disappointment is high. I am happy to say this one did not disappoint in anyway. It was everything I wanted for Kyson and Bay and Arlo! plus the little extras at the end just made it even better! Stone's narration held steady throughout the whole series and I really think made the story even more enjoyable!

A single father and fake fiance

Fake relationships are my favourite. I really enjoyed this third instalment of Silver in the City. A meddling grandmother, a fake relationship - oh what could go wrong. This was such a fun book and finished off this 3 book series nicely. I am hoping for more from this wide circle of friends.
