A fun, simple, and enjoyable story

This was simply enjoyable. It's fluffy and low angst, which I was in the mood for. The premise is entertaining. Noah decides to go for it and have his first one night stand. He finds Haze and there's undeniable chemistry between them. They immediately fail the "one night stand rules," but then don't see each other for months. Then as an unexpected surprise from everyone, Haze is the new receptionist at the vet clinic Noah works at. Well, obviously, Noah and Haze can't stay professional. Overall, this story is cute and fun, and I love this little found family they have going on at the vet clinic. I also really felt for Haze and his struggle to figure out what he wants to do with his life, because SAME. It was a little cringey, and not in a fun way, during their first encounter when Haze repeatedly referred to his "spectacular c**k." But I'm glad I powered through because this story is fun. Now, I just really want Gus to get his HEA.

Spectacular, for sure!
Seems from comments on anything John Solo narrates that people either live or hate him - but after several books I’ve come to appreciate his quieter read, and love how he brings lovely Noah and Haze to life here. Casey Cox has again created a wonderful world here at the Vet Shop Boys, and I can’t wait to keep going and hear the rest of the stories of the guys attached to this wonderful place.

More Than a Hook Up
Noah is on a mission to have a one night stand and his evening with Haze seems to fit that. But when they meet again it seems that rule breaking is the best thing. I Love the building of their relationship and the ways Haze sorts things out. I enjoyed the audio book.

Poorly matched narrator
The story is another that I will finish in Kindle form. The narrator is like the grownup Ralphie from A Christmas Story but with gay sex. If that's your kink, then by all means, proceed.

Good story. Good narration.
The characters are charming, hapless, and mostly reactive. The plot is a device used to move the characters from one steamy scene to the next. The resolution was equal parts sweet and silly. The narration was performed well and suited the characters.
This audiobook is an entertaining read if you are looking for a steamy romance with a couple of average guys and a lovable dog.
