Amazing in every way!

The story is compelling, the Characters drew me in right away and the erotic scenes were just that! Silver and Black just melt my heart, they are sooo good together.

My favorite part, hard to say the story just sucks you in and you can't stop listening. But probably the birthday weekend.

The narrator is one of my favs by far, all the voices are easy to tell apart and Silver's voice gave me chills (in a great way).

The only thing I didn't like about this book, was when it ended. I want more of Brian Silver & Grayson Black, because the are so sweet together.

I want a sequel! I have listened to this book 3x already and I just can't put it down. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed!

A fantastical tale...

Though the premise of the story is a bit far fetched, I found myself getting pulled into the story and I found that I enjoyed it a lot. Rich guy pursues poor guy...only in the movies, right!?! But one can get lost in the fantasy of it all. Several things I seen coming and a few things caught me by surprise, which is probably why I really liked the story. There was little doubt that Greyson and Brian would not get together but the path is full of bumps and hiccups, adding to the journey. Not sure about the comparison to FSOG, never read it or seen the movie, but from what I understand there truly is no comparison...different types of books. All-n-all, a good fantastical story!

Undecided

I am completely undecided about whether I enjoyed this book or not. Firstly, the premise of the book is that a rich guy financially supports another younger guy he never met without his knowledge and then by chance, meets him and becomes interested in pursuing a relationship with him. Now, this is really quite far fetched to begin with, however the way the rich guy pursues the younger guy and the way he 'woos' him come across as kind of creepy.

The author tries to weave some kind of intrigue into the plot by having the main character stalked and setting the reader up to believe that 'something' just doesn't seem right with the rich guy, but to be honest, by the time all is revealed, I was shouting at the device playing the audiobook as I had had enough of the story being unnecessarily drawn out and prolonged. It dragged and just wouldn't move forward and the story seemed all over the place.

This book could have been half as long as it was. It was unnecessarily drawn out and got on my nerves as a result. The sex scenes were probably good if this is what you buy gay romance for, however I always find them unnecessary and in the case of the book, quite a put off for some reason. I just didn't connect with these characters. They seemed one dimensional and the main characters constantly calling each other by their surnames or 'Mr' was also something that annoyed me.

Finally, the narrator is terrible. Why can't he pronounce words correctly? He didn't correctly pronounce any words which had a hard 't' sound in the middle of them and it was quite annoying. For instance, if he was supposed to say the word 'wilted' he would say 'wil-ed' instead. I understand that some people have speech impediments, however do they really become voice actors? His character voices seemed without emotion and feeling and almost stilted at some points.

Overall, this is a story which could have been told far better. If I had been the author's editor, I would have told him to shorten it down and come the point a lot faster. With another voice actor and a shorted script, this could have been a winner.

I. DON’T. LIKE. ROBOTIC. NARRATION.

This story could’ve been so much more interesting and likable had the narration been done by anybody else. I really dislike narrators who can’t inject personality into the story. I’m kind of shocked because I typically like Guy Locke as a narrator but here it felt like he was literally reading off of the page and it was being recorded. I thought after the first chapter it would get better, but sadly, he still sounded robotic. I got through the whole book but only because I have about an hour commute to work each day. The story was just so-so and the pacing was the same. I really got hung-up on the narration though and at times I felt that it dragged the whole story down because it was one-note. If I hadn’t gotten this as a free selection while waiting for new credits, I would’ve stopped and demanded a refund. Narration goes a long way with a 10 hour listen...

Hot Sexy Romantic Mystery

5 Blue Roses
4 Blue Flames
The narrator Guy Locke is new to me. He gave a superbly well-rounded performance filled with dramatic tension and vulnerable sexy moments in this exceptional romance.
rian Silver is CEO of the world's largest coffeehouse. He is almost obsessively in love with Greyson Black. Greyson works as barista while studying and a proudly determined to finish school. Brian Silver will do whatever is necessary to win the gorgeous Greyson's heart.

Lots of twists and turns created lots of mystery. The author skillfully created an unpredictable plot. We have hot steamy sexy times mixed with danger and excitement.
I recommend this book for when you are in the mood for a romantic fiction.
Happy Listening.

This narrator is no good.

This is basically 50 Shades, which is fine because I’ve listened to many books copying 50 but this narrator is terrible. I couldn’t listen anymore.

I feel like I'm in a fog!

Admittedly the plot line was intriguing, so I took the leap. Unfortunately, the narrator spoke in slow motion. I found myself getting frustrated trying to get through it. I gave it 3 chapters and just couldn't do it. Sad.

OK story. Okay narration.

If you like the idea of a M/M version of Pretty Woman you might appreciate this book.

Wow, just wow.

I couldn't stop listening to this book. It is long but well worth it. Silver and Black is an intriguing mystery and a couple of times I thought I knew where it as going but when it finally went there I was so surprised. The characters are well thought out and the story line is the best I've read in awhile. I do not want to give this away but I before I read I wondered it was a HEA and it is. I thought the narrator was perfect for this book.

Love the story, not the narrator.

Would you consider the audio edition of Silver & Black to be better than the print version?

No

How could the performance have been better?

The narrators voice was terrible, sorry, but he spoke too slowly and his pronunciation was terrible. Words like button were said bu-en the t's seemed to disappear, which is pretty important when you're narrating an audio book!
