About this listen

Jerry Jenkins has been presented with such awards as the Christy Award and the Platinum Book Award from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. Here, the number one New York Times best-selling author of the Left Behind Series picks up where his momentous novel Soon ended. Silenced continues the futuristic story of double-agent Paul Stephola. Following World War III, religion has been banned. Although a believer, Paul also works for the government agency responsible for persecuting Christians.

I liked this one more than the first one. not like the left behind series, a different look at how the end times will be. I enjoyed this very much.

It’s interesting how Jerry Jenkins is making a parallel to this Paul Stepola to the apostle Paul of the Bible, yet in modern times!

An Excellent read!

Loved the story BUT it sounded like the narrator was CHEWING GUM!!! Possibly to keep his mouth moistened but it was so so irritating!!

GOOD STORY LINE

This audiobook of Silenced is a great imagining of our possible near future. It will have you on the edge of your seat.

The narrator does an excellent job. He brings the characters to life. His pitch, tone, volume, accents, and rhythm are great.

There is mild cursing, mild violence, and talk of adultery. However, there is no graphic violence or explicit sex. I highly recommend this audiobook for teens and adults.

I love that theme is For nothing is impossible with God. For Him it is not impossible even though to us it looks inconceivably difficult. God can do anything

Great Story, but...I pray the narrator finds a better way than chew gum to avoid dry mouth...It was a little offputting....his voice was great except for that....but I still think he's a great narrator.

Amazing

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, as usual the action expected.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the Bible verses interwoven in the storyline...I must discover which translation was used.

What about Pete Bradbury’s performance did you like?

It was alright, all though his performance tended to be bland at times.

If you could rename Silenced, what would you call it?

Retribution

Any additional comments?

Yes, I was frustrated by the ending,,,I;m looking forward to a continuation of this storyline!

Had me on the edge of my seat the whole time

This book is about what happens to the church and its believers after WWIII. The narration was not as spot on as the "Left Behind" series by the same author, Jerry B. Jenkins, but it was tolerable. It's a good listen.
