Publisher's summary

Falling in love with my fake wife wasn’t the plan.

I’m a playboy heir living the wild life; commitment doesn’t look good on me.

Thankfully, Pax McClane - the other victim in this arranged marriage - agrees.

We make a deal - fake a marriage and divorce in six months.

But the plan goes sideways when Dad calls me to his office. The company is in trouble and we need the McClanes to survive.

Suddenly, I must convince my fake wife not to divorce me if I plan on keeping my lavish lifestyle.

But Pax is hardly falling at my feet. Ambitious. Gorgeous. Irrationally immune to my charms. She resists me at every turn.

In desperation, I seek out the mysterious Doc, eager to learn his formula for a happy marriage.

The moment I put his principles into practice, everything changes.

And the biggest change of all happens to me.

But there’s still a secret standing between me and the woman I’m falling for.

I’m doing all the right things…for all the wrong reasons. Can my marriage survive when my wife finds out the truth?

Show Me is an angsty BWWM fake marriage romance with a determined husband and his strong, intelligent, and gorgeous wife.

Annoying narrator

I liked this book more than "Earn Me", the first book of this series. I appreciated that the Dr. wasn't around as much and didn't put the hero, Calvin, through a bunch of chores and car analogies. I felt for the workaholic heroine, Pax, and the story made a point to let us know that this woman did not want to be thought of as someone who skated through life under her rich father's thumb. Meanwhile, we got to see the hero, Calvin, transform from a wandering spoiled playboy who was a mere tool for his sociopath of a father to ensure his company's financial stability, to a man who found himself and true value in his marriage to Pax.
The story was fine, but had I had the time, I would have read it instead of listened to it. The story switches points of view between Pax and Calvin. I was thankful for the narrator for changing her voice with each character, but when she is just narrating in between the voices, she is slowly whispering in her Scottish(?) lilt which made it hard for me to remember which character's POV she is reading at times. There was also some bad editing with this audio; the narrator can be heard clapping her hands for a break before she repeats a line and moves on with the story. It's a shame because with better narration, this story may have been so much better.
