About this listen

A picture is worth a thousand nightmares….

When three lost paintings are reunited, a patron of the arts discovers they may have been separated for a very good reason. A morbid photographer’s obsession upsets the spirits hidden in her pictures. And when bad dreams inspire a troubled painter, collectors of his work experience his twisted visions firsthand….

Scare Street is proud to present the best in bone-chilling supernatural horror. This volume contains three spine-tingling tales for your reading pleasure. A gallery of terrifying works of art, ripped straight from your darkest nightmares…

But wait…did something move in that painting in the corner? Was it an optical illusion, a trick of the light? Or are these horrifying works of art coming to life before your eyes?

They say there can be no art without pain. Now these deadly masterpieces are ready to sink their claws into you, and put that to the test….

Horror on Horror

These stories never disappoint! The three that are in this volume are going to leave you gasping! I loved each and every one - although Ron Ripley usually gets me the most. His stories are just the right level of horror, yet just "there" enough to make it almost believable.

LOVED IT!

Great Volume

I enjoy the concept of artwork not being exactly what it seems and all three of these stories touch on that. I hope some day Ron Ripley expands ‘Pictures on the Wall’ because I think he could have done a fantastic novel with it in addition to this short story.

A warning to keep these three pieces on painting apart? What’s the worse that could happen?

A photographer obsessed with capturing the image of spirits on her film, not all spirits appreciate the attention.

The third story finds us in a secluded cabin struggling to come up with ideas for a painting, but behold the power of your dreams!

Fantastic performance by John Pirhalla!

A little disappointed

I had a hard time with this one, it somehow feels a bit unfinished and left me confused.

Think twice before you buy used things.

This book is creepy, but not in the usual way, at least for me. I love buying used things, but I might think twice about that after reading this. Art has a lot of power, but have you ever thought what was in it? Did the artist give it power, or was it powerful before it was painted? When you bring things into your home that somebody else had, you don’t expect to bring something else home, but it happens. Be very careful.
