Publisher's Summary

For over 400 years, the Corvus Brotherhood has been plotting for vengeance. As their plans near completion, the brotherhood is, somehow, connected with: a spring-heeled tiger, a condemned murder suspect about to be hanged, the deathly communications of a society spiritualist, and even Mycroft's sudden disappearance.

The claw of the raven is about to strike...

Oddly written

Contains a lot of dialogue that should have been description.

Things along the lines of don’t you dare stick that pie in my face. Ack. You have stuck the pie in my face. Now I shall have to go wash it off. (Paraphrasing)

It’s not bad, just weird.

Mystery itself is fine. The explanations and tie ins worked ok.

Narrated enthusiastically.

So Disappointed

I have read and listened to about everything Sherlock Holmes out there. When I found this collection I was so excited. The writing style, the stories/plots, the stilted humor, and particularly the narration are all hard to suffer. It even has some cheesy sound effects and music to soften the dialog, but to small solace.

Collection of four great Holmes stories

I grew up with a love for the old basil rathbone and Nigel Bruce black and white Holmes movies. These four stories collected here are written and performed in that same spirit. Truly a wonderful addition to any Holmes fans collections. Highly recommended. The narrators deliver that old time movie/radio show feel. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher

Excellent

Love the narration adds so much to this story, the voice is clear, and flows well with the story. Love all of the authors Sherlock stories. Given audio for my voluntary review

Overall a good storyline

This is an interesting version of the classic detective. An audio drama much more than an audiobook. The enhanced audio improves the overall enjoyability of the story. Some of the parts are better than others, I found part 3 particularly weak. very cliched dialogue and story. Overall worth a listen.
