Investigating the fossils leads Lilah and Vann into the depths of Magroth Mountain where centuries-old secrets lurk, and a long-forgotten threat stalks the passages. To have any chance at survival, they'll have to work together and perhaps learn that neither is what the other expected.

Shattered Past is a stand-alone novel set in the author's Dragon Blood world.

I love what these two characters have in common and what their differences invoke in their thoughts! Great offshoot of the main dragon blood series! If you write more I'll read more!

Finally on audio!

I'm so excited that that this title finally made it to audio! Buroker's Dragon Blood series just isn't complete without the story of Colonel Therrick's redemption. I loved the entire series in print, and I think Caitlin Davies does a terrific job of the narration.

Narrator, ugh!

I love Lindsay Buroker's books, and although this shorter story clarified some background, I struggled through it. Too much romance and feelings and not enough plot.
The main problem, however, is the terrible narrator. I felt physically seasick from listening to her rising and falling tones. Up and down, up and down with little regard to the actual text. Nauseating!

Great work listen

This series has been great to listen to while I work- the plot lines are easy to follow, the characters easy to identify with, and the dialogue entertaining- I want to thank the author for producing series in this genre that are lighter, have noble but not pretentious characters and that make my work lighter and easier to bear without significant distraction. Thank you!

oh my goodness I can't get enough of these books

this woman has such a way with her characters that they come right out of the book her descriptions are vivid their personalities unique you feel their presence like a warm fur coat they make you comfortable they make you relax they make you laugh they make you cry it's a can't put down book and a wonderful series I just wish there were more

A romance novel, and not much more

I've loved the series so far, but I definitely could've skipped this one. It was a romance novel with very little action or storyline. I'm hoping the last book in the series is better...

Entertaining, Light Fantasy Romance

Juvenile but entertaining quality to series. Interesting world & characterts. Please no more wriggling eyebrows!!

I liked it

but have to admit I'm growing tired of Tharicks characters animosity towards Ridge...it just seems juvenile but hey aside that...I'm glad to have read and understood Van's past/history

I apologize for the spelling. I enjoyed getting to know a bit more about the cynical man. Great idea to show how a human being can be shaped by the world around him.

A Good Addition to the Series

Another excellent though shorter story to the Dragon Blood series. Enjoyed getting to know Van a little better and thought the new characters fit in well with the continuing plot. Catlin Davies does an excellent narration job as with all the previous books.

Therik and Lilah

I loved this book, it was great to hear about Therick's past and also meet more of Zirkanders family. Also discover more of what happened 300 years ago.

What more can I say, yet another amazing book. loved every second of it. Can't wait to listen to the next one!
