OSKAR
After a little mishap in an alleyway with CCTV, my public image needs fixing. Oops?
It might have been a stunt to get the attention of Lane Pierce, San Jose’s new PR manager, but I didn’t realize what the consequences would be when I did it. I’ve got Lane’s sole focus now in all the wrong ways.
He has designated himself as my babysitter, and while it’s fun messing with him, being bound by curfews and rules has never worked for me.
The more I push back, the more I realize what’s really on the line. My career, my future, and maybe even my heart.
LANE
Being appointed head of San Jose’s PR department was a dream come true…until I met Oskar Voyjik.
He may be San Jose royalty, but with the stunts Oskar’s been pulling, the team owner is down to his last thread of patience. Which puts me in the firing line. If I can’t turn Oskar’s entitled party boy image around, we’ll both be shown the door.
I have free rein to do whatever it takes, and it turns out whatever it takes is Oskar.
Only, the more entangled our lives become, the more I see the Oskar he’s buried deep down. The one who hurts, the one who’s sensitive and kind, the one…the one I think I’m falling for.
I can’t have him and my career, and if rumors of the professional lines I’ve crossed get out, it’s not only my dream job I can kiss goodbye; I’ll be disgraced from professional sports completely.

Oskar is truly one of the sassiest characters I have ever read. I loved how geniunely funny he was and how hard he made it for Lane not to crack, and yet he still took his job as a hockey player very seriously when he needed to. Also I loved how Lane was so commanding and brilliant at his job, and the underlining sass of this man really meshed well with Oskar.
You would think Oskar would have been the one in control of every situation in this book, but Lane played him like a fiddle, and I loved how well they got along from the moment they met. I thought they'd be like mean antagonistic, but they were definitely more playful. And I think Oskar really showed Lane that he could enjoy the fun aspects of life and not have to take everything so seriously all the time. They just really worked together in this book, especially when they both were ready to give up their jobs for one another. That just solidified their endgame status for me.
A shock for me was Oscar secretly being insecure about his looks being the only reason people care about him and that made me so sad for him. Lane really was there for him to show that his merit isn't based on what he looks like.
The amount cameos from Eden and Saxon's other books in this one really was the icing on the cake of a phenomenal novel. I can't wait for book four and to see the shenans this Collective get up to.
Loved this book for the sass alone!

So Lane is a freaking saint. Oscar is a man whore and hard to reel in. Lane being the PR manager he takes on Oscar to change his ways so of coarse only one thing could happen. Oscar does everything to get him to quit. Lane has moved in with Oscar and become his fulltime babysitter. Let the shenanigans begin.
There are parts in this story that I cannot stand Oscar. He is over the top and reckless. To think that the league would keep a player like this is not believable at all. But this is fantasy so all the rules go out the window. Good thing for Oscar. He has a fighting chance to become a better human and keep playing hockey.
Lane is a great character. He has many flaws and one is falling for the wrong person. Babysitting Oscar has taken it's toll and the only thing he can think of doing to keep him satisfied is to satisfy him. He's skirting the line with this tactic because he starts having feelings. Falling for the bad boy.
I love how Oscar is the star but Lane is so good at bossing him around. He's done what no one else could do and shows Oscar that he is worth fighting for and to take a chance on his friends, life and himself.
Lane and Oscar do get their happy ending. They deserve it and are great for each other. They also get new jobs that are much better for them.
The Queer Collective is always fun. Having all the players together is a sure fire hit.
Iggy Toma and Alexander Cendese do an amazing job at narration.
