Publisher's summary

To stop the ultimate evil, Shane Ryan faces an impossible choice...

Retired Marine Corps sergeant Shane Ryan has seen his share of death and violence. And as far as he’s concerned, the best defense is a good offense. So, when he and his friends manage to head off a supernatural attack at a nearby orphanage, he is determined to hunt down whoever is responsible for the carnage.

There’s just one problem. The evil behind all this is a hopelessly deranged young boy who has developed the ability to command the restless spirits of the dead.

Outnumbered and facing an evil beyond imagination, Shane and his allies must battle their way through an army of wraiths to get to this sinister child. But deep down, he knows there is only one way to bring this nightmare to an end.

The only way to stop the boy is to kill him.

Can Shane bring himself to do what must be done?

This was the scariest book for me todate.

Old friends come back together, Shane in love, a plot arc dozens of books in the making coming to a climax. literally anything could have happened and boy did things happen. Ron Ripley and Thom Bowets combined make me so grateful years ago when I first listened to the Berkeley Street series. It never disappoints.

addicted to Ripley's books so far

I couldn't stop listening! My anticipation toward the end kept my heart racing. I started reading Ripley's collections last year and tend to finish all of them! I just fell in love with all the characters and was happy to hear more about them throughout all the stories and cities they lived in, how they relate to each other.. Wish they made a movie series !

Good Story

I love the Shane books. This one ended well. Will Jacinta and Shane marry? I hope so, their lives together would be an adventure especially if they have kids

Excellent

I just finished the last book of the Death Hunter Series. As usual, Ron Ripley did not disappoint me. Great series! This series tells the story of how a “damaged” child brings death and sadness to a lot of people and how Ryan tries to “fix” it all.

Downfall of a Tyrant

Alex has continued to deteriorate, and his behavior is even causing one of his closest ghost friends, Timmy, to question him. Shane is still determined to find and stop Alex, but the decision is one that is tough for him. Knowing that Alex is still a young adult, Shane grapples with the knowledge that he has to end the tyrant.

Oh my goodness, this book! I was not ready for it to end! This was an amazing series, and I look forward to seeing more from this author!
