The narrator was excellent! Highly recommend her reading books. But the story was just lacking and unbelievable. I love fiction, technology, etc... I love scifi, fantasy, you name it. But you have to mold a realistic story around those elements to lure me in. And I felt like the supporting characters were just too over the top. It seemed like 9/10th's of the elderly in this book suddenly became sadistic, diabolic & evil. Just didn't feel real to me.

Great story!

Just like book one, leaves you wanting more. Just when you think they'll never make out alive they do but never unscratched.

Good but not as great.

This was a good continuation of Ashes, but not as great. The author tells the story from too many perspectives. At least 6 different people. It makes it very difficult to follow along with what’s going on with each person last time you left off with them.

I really got into this one.

I was really worried upon reading the reviews for this book. People were complaining that it was confusing and difficult to read. But I didn't find that so.
Katherine didn't excellent job of reading.
The story is meant to be fast paced. It's a zombie scary type book.
It's not a love story at least not in classical sense. The authors conveying essence of danger and confusion.
I recommend this book to the apocalypse readers and horror fans. I see the storyline going somewhere and I'm going to follow.

amazing follow up

can wait for the next book, once agian a great book and amazing narration, much more violent and gory than the first book, can't wait for the next book, i would really like to know if anyone survives!
