Not up to par

New narrator, I personally didn't care for, story was to different from my perception

Excellent Story

excellent story. grabs your attention from the beginning and holds it right through to the end. expertly narrated. highly recommend.

its something...

so at first I thought it couldn't be so bad because sometimes reviewes can be a little harsh. but everyone is aloud their opinions. the narrator I think is new. or he is new to me. he does a good job of being the voice for the different MC's and gives them the type of protraile that is fitting for each of them. it's just the story is bad... I'm sorry to the author. Madox is very annoying. and a bit difficult to like and Sylas is way to sensitive which isn't a bad thing but in this case he's borderline a crybaby when it comes to Madox. Now the lore and the world building is great. it's has really good potential on being a great series in that aspect. I gave it a fair shot I made it to chapter six. but I unfortunately will be getting my credit back for this one.

Could not even finish

I have read this book and loved it so I thought the Audible would be good...BIG NO...the Narration just gritted on my nerves and I could not enjoy the story for it. It just seemed to drag on and on, it did not keep my interest at all. The narration just makes Maddox sound like a drama queen and whined about everything. I got to chapter 13 barely and just could not take it anymore.

Not a "stand alone book"

I really hate I paid money for this book instead of using a credit so I could return it. For me it was very nonsensical. The vampires being a live for hundreds of years but not keeping up with modern terms and inventions was not thought out. Even if you never left your coven you would be exposed to new ideas and creations by newer vampires and visitors. They didn't know what a movie was, really? Also, Maddox's voice annoyed the crap out of me. His foul, mouthiness didn't make him endearing, just a weird little putz. Finally, my biggest peeve is that it is "money grab" book. It end abruptly and isn't a stand alone title.
