Publisher's Summary

Life is a b*tch. Keeps screwing me over, and I take blow after blow, sucking it up, giving her the finger. Don't get me wrong: I love women. Especially one woman - Madeline. She's gorgeous, she's sexy, she's goddamn perfect. Plus - minor detail - she has a boyfriend already.

Not that she'd want anything to do with the likes of me. Apprentice tattoo artist, former homeless person, covered in ink, without a penny to my name. And sort of cursed. I mean, I'd be lucky to run into a girl, any girl, on my way in and out of hospitals with the way life has been knocking me about lately.

But I'm not lucky. Never was. Doesn't look like that's gonna change any day soon, either.

Until the day the girl of my dreams literally runs into me. With her car.

Life hates me, and if this isn't a clue, then I don't know what is.

Stand-alone novel. No cliff-hanger.

Warning: This book contains graphic language, sex, and violence. Mature listeners only. Not intended for young listeners.

5 Be the Teacher Stars!!!!!

STORY: HOT! The only word you need for this book is that one. SETH. Seth's book is smoking hot and also very sweet. Seth is a person we first met in "Micah" and if you remember, he was beaten up. Micah's girlfriend, Ev, had an ex-boyfriend who beat up any homeless person she talked to; and had beaten him up pretty badly. {{Seth (and his brother-cousin, Shane) had been in prison, were homeless and on the streets; and now Seth is living in one place and Shane in another. There is a reason for this and if you read "Shane" you'll find out the sad reason why, unbeknownst to Seth.}} Seth is recovering from the beating and then in this book gets hit by the girl he loves, Madeline aka Manon. Before we get to her, a bit more on Seth. Since he has been recovering and then re-injures himself pretty badly by Manon's car, life is not easy. He is this close to being kicked out of his apartment, barely hanging onto a job and then has no job, money is badly low, and you get the picture...it's bad. Then, the girl he loves...she loves someone else! Talk about a punch to the gut. MANON. The day of the accident, Manon had just received some very bad news. To top that off, her "boyfriend" Fred...and yes, there's a reason for the quotes around the word boyfriend...isn't being very touchy-feely with her or kissing her, as he "wants to take it slow." She thinks it's because she is not so worldly and has less experience than he does. So, she pretty much asks Seth to be her teacher in the whole touchy-feely, kissing, and even....yes, sex. Things go from 25% between them to 1,000,000% HOT!!! This is a frustrating thing for Seth, because he is all about being her teacher, but he loves her and wants her for HIMself...and she...maybe...sorta...likes him. But what about Fred, the "boyfriend"? Clues are there, and I was ready for somewhat of what eventually happens with Fred...I was just surprised that Manon didn't see that. But when you love someone, you're blind to a lot of things, right?

SIDE STORY: Throughout the book, there is a bit of a side story going on with Seth and his Mom, and you find out why him and Shane were sent to prison. Since I had read Shane's book first, I wanted to know this...and couldn't believe Seth's Mom. Ugh. There is some closure there, but still, Seth and Shane were in prison and that can't be erased.

NARRATION: C.J. Mission (CJM)--Okay, I've never heard of CJM's narration before, but whoa--this was a great narration. CJM definitely brought the heat when Seth was talking about Manon, because there were a few scenes of some fire between those two that could've been narrated soo bad, but weren't at all! CJM was great talking about Seth's Mom, because that was awful and sad and just a lot of hurt and pain and anger there. CJM was also great talking about the down-on-his-luck Seth was and the frustration that he felt. Great, great narration! Ava Erickson (AE)--I have listened to AE before and a few books weren't my favorite, but this one I think she was great at! AE spoke of Manon's love for Fred, and then her passion for what caused the car accident, and then her hot talks with Seth just perfectly! Her narration was just wonderful!

CREDIT WORTHY: YES! I'm not sure which book is my favorite of this series so far--"Micah" or "Seth" as they are both written AND narrated just perfectly!!!! Even if you're not following along, I would get this just for the narration and story alone.

Another engaging story!

I’m enjoying this audiobook series by Jo Raven very much. Her characters never fail to make you feel empathy and the story is both moving and entertaining. Seth has had a hard life, both physically and emotionally. The heroine, Mignon, has a emotional loneliness you can just feel. The two of them are mad for each other, they just have to realize that fact. Narration was well done.
