I kept listening because I paid for it
Having read over 100 books in the forgotten realms universe, this is by far the worst offering I have yet to experience. The plot is slow with characters that plod along to a conclusion that can be guessed around two hours into the recording. The voice acting is also terrible. The character is either Biff, the 80's football numbskull stereotype, a mockery of an Asian woman, or the actors voice attempting to be husky. Don't waste your time or money with this.

Safiya is a Truthwitch, able to discern truth from lie. It's a powerful magic that many would kill to have on their side, especially among the nobility to which Safi was born.
