Publisher's summary

You fell in love with Blue Ryder and Lizzie Barber in Seaside Summers, now follow their journey to find true love in Seized by Love, the first book in the Ryder series.

Lizzie Barber runs a successful flower shop by day and secretly hosts the Naked Baker webcast at night to help pay for her younger sister's education. To keep friends and family from finding out about her sexy secret, she's put her social life on hold until her sister's education is paid off and she can stop filming the webcast.

Blue Ryder fell hard for Lizzie Barber when he met her a year ago, and he hasn't been able to get her off his mind since. Everything about the feisty little brunette, from her tight bod to her seductive smile, cuts straight to his heart. Though Lizzie has turned down every invitation he's extended - Blue is not about to give up trying.

Renovating Lizzie's kitchen brings Blue further into Lizzie's life, and the oven is not the only thing heating up. One night and one powerful kiss changes everything. But when Lizzie's secret is revealed, and the safe bubble she's hidden in shatters, true love may not be enough to put the pieces back together.

Sweet Love Story

Melissa gave us sweet characters that you quickly bonded with. The story was one of strong love that can weather even the most interesting of admissions. The Ryder Family is definitely one I would like to learn more about. Overall, a sweet love story indeed.

Narration was great- No complaints at all.

Narrator is terrible

I really tried to get through this one, but gave up after the third time. There is something very unsexy about the narrator’s voice and it ruined the whole thing for me and I just couldn’t get past it enough to finish this one. (Imagine someone sort of like Mister Rogers narrating love scenes, and this is about what you get).

Hot Read

I had the amazing pleasure of listening to the audiobook of Seized by Love by Melissa Foster and I loved it. B. J. Harrison was the narrator and I love listening to him tell the story because I can picture everything in my mind. This story involves Blue Ryder and Lizzie Barber and let me tell you, the heat coming off these two is great. Blue Ryder loves working with his hands and Lizzie is a florist by day and THE NAKED BAKER by night. Falling in love with Blue is so easy because he is what every girl dreams off in a man and that's exactly what scares Lizzie because no one knows her secret and telling him could jeopardize everything. But being honest is the best policy and whether he can handle it, only time will tell. They belong together and fit so well in each other's arms. I finished this audiobook in one day and it left me wanting more. This was an amazing story.

Passion filled.

I loved the relationship between Blue Ryder and Lizzie Barber. Blue is remodeling Lizzie’s kitchen and had been asking her out for over a year without success. But a casual non-date on the beach starts the ball rolling. As Blue and Lizzie spend time together love blooms. But there is a reason Lizzie didn’t want to date. Once she shares her secret with Blue they must fight to be together. Melissa Foster once again has written a book that I could not put down. So much passion is a part of this story. That passion comes out through the narration by BJ Harrison. Whether he was very quiet with some of Lizzie’s reflections on decisions she needed to make or the difficult conversations between family the heat of the scenes always came through. I highly recommend this 5 star audiobook.

LOVE!!!!

eized By Love is another Home Run for Melissa Foster. Blue and Lizzie aka The Naked Baker. What better way to fall in love with someone than to start out as friends and really get to know each other. This is another great addition to the Love in Bloom series.

Blue has been asking Lizzie out for a year and she has been shooting him down for a year. Blue knows what he wants and is not about to give up on it. He feels that eventually he will wear Lizzie down and get her to go out with him. Blue can do most anything DIY and has been helping Lizzie remodel her kitchen along with remodeling his cabin.

Lizzie owns a P-Town Petals by day and does a web show called The Naked Baker at night. Lizzie created the web show in college to earn extra money to pay for college and to get money to start her flower shop. Lizzie thought she was done with The Naked Baker until her father falls ill and her parents no longer have money to put her sister Maddie through college. She brings The Naked Baker back so she can have money to put Maddie through school. She does not want Maddie starting her life in debt.

This book has laughter, sadness, and lots of hot sex. You get in depth with the characters and can't help but to root for them. Being friends first and getting through the getting to know you awkward phase of relationships makes the dating part a little easier. The story grabs you from the first chapter and keeps you excited for what comes next. B.J. Harrison narrates and he does a fantastic job. He does a great job of making you feel like you are right there in the thick of things with everyone. You get all the emotion and highs and lows. Harrison just brings everything to life.

My Thoughts on Seized by Love

This time it's Blue Ryder's turn to find love.

I've been following Blue for a couple books now and I was happy to get his story.

I really liked his leading lady Lizzie. I really liked the way she found a way to take care of not only herself but her sister when it was needed for school. The whole time I found myself thinking "That really isn't that bad" or "She could definitely be doing worse things". I think I just kind of felt she was judged harshly by several people despite their reasons. It kind of dimmed my opinions for those harsh judging people. And while I appreciate that everything worked out in the end, it definitely never got back to being totally ok for me.

Once again BJ Harrison did a good job. I never have anything bad to say about him because he consistently does well.

What a fun read

Seized By Love is a fun, sweet romance. Blue has been captivated with Lizzie for a while and he’s been asking her out frequently and she finally says yes. Lizzie has been keeping a secret from her family and friends, she has a way to earn extra money to help make ends meet... she does a weekly webcast, the Naked Baker. Blue and Lizzie have their ups and downs but come out strong in the end.
I love B J. Harrison's voice when he narrates. He brings the characters and story to life. It's a joy to listen to him

Great book

I originally read this book back in 2015. I just recently listed to the audiobook. WOW it was just as good the 2nd time around. I love the narration of BJ Harrison. I listen while driving to and from work. Makes the traffic tolerable.
I loved, loved, loved Blue!!!!!!
Lizzie is a strong willed lady that will do anything for her little sister.
It took Lizzie a year before she decided to date Blue but once she did.....HOT HOT HOT!!!
As always Melissa did not disappoint.

Hot

This was a sweet story with lots of adversity. Fear, embarrassment, honesty (or lack of), hurt feelings and of course love. And I'm sure I'm forgetting more emotions contained in this book.

I found the storyline very intriguing. Ms. Foster brought up a subject that is a current issue in society today and I feel like she did it justice. She showed the jealousy and morality of the issue and how it affects others and how their reactions affect the main character.

There was a lot of emotion in the narration. Mr. Harrison brought all of the feels to his performance.

It was a joy to see Cash and Sienna again. I can't wait for more Ryders.

Another beautiful love story

Seized by Love is Blue and Lizzie's story. We've met Blue in few stories now as a established character at Seaside and it is great to finally hear his story.

When Blue and Lizzie met for the first time, Blue fell for her and he's not been able to stop thinking about her - only Lizzie has refused every offer of a date, and he is determined to change her mind.

Lizzie runs the Florists by day and by night films a webcast to help fund her sisters college education. To try and stop anyone finding out her secret, she has put her life on hold until her sister as finished college. Unfortunately, things don't go according to her plan.....

This book is again narrated by B J Harrison, who has done so many of Melissa's books. I find his voice very smooth and relaxing, making it very easy to lose track of time when listening.

Blue Ryder, my new hero

Would you listen to Seized by Love again? Why?

Yes, because this its great love story, Blue and Lizzie are perfect for each other.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Seized by Love?

When Lizzie tells her family and best friend Skye how she earned her money, and the way she stood her ground.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

When Blue joins Lizzie in her video, you could almost see yourself watching them.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Baking made sexy

Any additional comments?

I loved this book, with so many hunky hero's that Melissa has written about its only when you re read or listen that you remember how great Blue is.

Sweet story

This is the first in this series by Melissa Foster, however I have read/listened to a lot of her work.

I enjoyed Blue and Lizzie's story - though at times, I felt that Blue was a bit of an insufferable ar$e, and I wanted to tell Lizzie to walk away.

BJ Harrison is a good narrator, but I don't know, he just didn't seem to really fit with this story. Nothing to do with the performance, I am not sure what it was, however it just felt a bit off to me. But this could just be me.

I now need to go back and read / listen to the rest of the Ryder series.
