Publisher's Summary

You fell in love with Blue Ryder and Lizzie Barber in Seaside Summers, now follow their journey to find true love in Seized by Love, the first book in the Ryder series.

Lizzie Barber runs a successful flower shop by day and secretly hosts the Naked Baker webcast at night to help pay for her younger sister's education. To keep friends and family from finding out about her sexy secret, she's put her social life on hold until her sister's education is paid off and she can stop filming the webcast.

Blue Ryder fell hard for Lizzie Barber when he met her a year ago, and he hasn't been able to get her off his mind since. Everything about the feisty little brunette, from her tight bod to her seductive smile, cuts straight to his heart. Though Lizzie has turned down every invitation he's extended - Blue is not about to give up trying.

Renovating Lizzie's kitchen brings Blue further into Lizzie's life, and the oven is not the only thing heating up. One night and one powerful kiss changes everything. But when Lizzie's secret is revealed, and the safe bubble she's hidden in shatters, true love may not be enough to put the pieces back together.

Sweet Love Story

Melissa gave us sweet characters that you quickly bonded with. The story was one of strong love that can weather even the most interesting of admissions. The Ryder Family is definitely one I would like to learn more about. Overall, a sweet love story indeed.

Narration was great- No complaints at all.

My Thoughts on Seized by Love

This time it's Blue Ryder's turn to find love.

I've been following Blue for a couple books now and I was happy to get his story.

I really liked his leading lady Lizzie. I really liked the way she found a way to take care of not only herself but her sister when it was needed for school. The whole time I found myself thinking "That really isn't that bad" or "She could definitely be doing worse things". I think I just kind of felt she was judged harshly by several people despite their reasons. It kind of dimmed my opinions for those harsh judging people. And while I appreciate that everything worked out in the end, it definitely never got back to being totally ok for me.

Once again BJ Harrison did a good job. I never have anything bad to say about him because he consistently does well.

What a fun read

Seized By Love is a fun, sweet romance. Blue has been captivated with Lizzie for a while and he’s been asking her out frequently and she finally says yes. Lizzie has been keeping a secret from her family and friends, she has a way to earn extra money to help make ends meet... she does a weekly webcast, the Naked Baker. Blue and Lizzie have their ups and downs but come out strong in the end.
I love B J. Harrison's voice when he narrates. He brings the characters and story to life. It's a joy to listen to him

Great book

I originally read this book back in 2015. I just recently listed to the audiobook. WOW it was just as good the 2nd time around. I love the narration of BJ Harrison. I listen while driving to and from work. Makes the traffic tolerable.
I loved, loved, loved Blue!!!!!!
Lizzie is a strong willed lady that will do anything for her little sister.
It took Lizzie a year before she decided to date Blue but once she did.....HOT HOT HOT!!!
As always Melissa did not disappoint.

Hot

This was a sweet story with lots of adversity. Fear, embarrassment, honesty (or lack of), hurt feelings and of course love. And I'm sure I'm forgetting more emotions contained in this book.

I found the storyline very intriguing. Ms. Foster brought up a subject that is a current issue in society today and I feel like she did it justice. She showed the jealousy and morality of the issue and how it affects others and how their reactions affect the main character.

There was a lot of emotion in the narration. Mr. Harrison brought all of the feels to his performance.

It was a joy to see Cash and Sienna again. I can't wait for more Ryders.

The Naked Baker could ruin it all!

I really liked this Melissa Foster audio book. This one stood out at slightly different than a lot of her others in that the heroine was "The Naked Baker" on a video cast that she produces and she has told no one! It is her "dirty little secret" and she fails to tell Blue before or even right after they become intimate. She hasn't told her parents or even her best friend. She's really torn up about it, but has a substantial reason for doing the video cast.
Blue feels he's justified in his reaction when Lizzie tells him she's doing a baking show with very little on. He loves her, but does he love her enough to get through this?

The Naked Baker & the Carpenter

Lizzie Barber has a secret. Not only does she run a floral business, she also has a podcast called "The Naked Baker" which she films at night in the basement of her home. The money she makes off her podcast helps pay for her sisters education.

Blue Ryder met Lizzie at a mutual friends wedding and became fast friends. Blue, a carpenter, remodels Lizzie's kitchen. He's constantly asking her out but she refuses. When she finally decides to go out with him, there friendship turns into something more until he learns of her secret. Will they weather this unexpected turn in their relationship or will Blue walk away.

I enjoyed Blue and Lizzie's love story. However, I thought the narrator was just ok. I like dual narrators.

Different narrator please!

I really liked the idea of the story. I mean a stripping baker?! It’s so different from the usual tropes and storylines out there right now. Cute story and characters.

I was not a fan of the narrator however. That was a huge turnoff for me and made me drag the listen out waaaay longer than I usually listen.

It wasn’t a deterrent as far as giving her other audios a try but this one maybe should have been just a read instead of a listen.

Love blooms here

Seized by Love is the first book in the Love in Bloom/Ryders Series. This book is about Blue Ryder and Lizzie Barber's love story. Lizzie is flower shop owner during the day and the "Naked Baker" by Night. Her nighttime job however it mainly to put her sister though school and use the extra money to pay off her flower shop. Lizzie and Blue have known each other for years and Blue finally talks Lizzie into allowing her to date him but Lizzie fears her secret night job will be the end of their relationship.

This was my first book of Melissa's and I found it to be well thought out and her characters very well written. There was a lot of character development and I felt like I really connected to them throughout the storyline. Melissa puts a lot of emotions into her characters and you can feel them in her writing style. There is also some great sex scenes which is always nice in a romance novel. I like that I also got to know other characters and want to read their books as well.

I was given this book by the author, narrator or publisher in exchange for my unbiased review

Brilliantly Written and Narration was Super!

Lizzie Barber owned a flower shop and she also had a naughty show on a webcast that was a secret. It featured her baking and she looked as though she was nude. She needed the extra money to help put her little sister Mattie thru school. Her oven went out and she called Blue Ryder to come fix it for her. He had been trying to get her to go on a date with him, but she kept turning him down. Blue finally convinced her to go out with him and they found out they loved each other. She confessed to Blue and her family what she had been doing. Blue was so jealous he couldn't see straight. Boy did that cause big problems! Blue was so jealous he couldn't see straight and her father took a fit and wouldn't speak to her. This story has so much emotion in it and the narrator brought out every one of them. He made me believe the characters were real. Brilliantly done all the way around.

Another beautiful love story

Seized by Love is Blue and Lizzie's story. We've met Blue in few stories now as a established character at Seaside and it is great to finally hear his story.

When Blue and Lizzie met for the first time, Blue fell for her and he's not been able to stop thinking about her - only Lizzie has refused every offer of a date, and he is determined to change her mind.

Lizzie runs the Florists by day and by night films a webcast to help fund her sisters college education. To try and stop anyone finding out her secret, she has put her life on hold until her sister as finished college. Unfortunately, things don't go according to her plan.....

This book is again narrated by B J Harrison, who has done so many of Melissa's books. I find his voice very smooth and relaxing, making it very easy to lose track of time when listening.

Sweet story

This is the first in this series by Melissa Foster, however I have read/listened to a lot of her work.

I enjoyed Blue and Lizzie's story - though at times, I felt that Blue was a bit of an insufferable ar$e, and I wanted to tell Lizzie to walk away.

BJ Harrison is a good narrator, but I don't know, he just didn't seem to really fit with this story. Nothing to do with the performance, I am not sure what it was, however it just felt a bit off to me. But this could just be me.

I now need to go back and read / listen to the rest of the Ryder series.
