Most people typically listen with the intent to reply. Habit 5 explores the essential communication skill of listening to truly understand, which helps us to avoid reading our own autobiographies into other people's lives. It opens us up to one another's perspectives, ideas, and emotions. Then real communication can happen, new and better ideas can be conceived, and everyone involved can learn from one another.©2006 FranklinCovey (P)2006 FranklinCovey Personal Development Personal Success Relationships Habits Inspiring Career

one main thing I got out of this audiobook was to empathize with people. to truly get into other people's situation.

the book was okay.

If you own seven habits, then there’s no reason to purchase this, unless just want to have habit five in a separate audiobook. It is essentially a rereading of that chapter. There are no new examples or discussion in this audiobook.

If you own 7 Habita, don’t buy
