In See You in the Sky: A Memoir of Prison, Possibility and Peace, Jeri takes the listener on a deeply personal story of her experience being the daughter of a notorious drug-trafficking kingpin serving a life sentence in maximum security federal prison. With candor and courage, Jeri writes about how her childhood trauma of witnessing domestic violence and finding out at the age of 10 that her dad was in prison instead of away at school broke her in ways she didn’t fully understand. Hers is the story shared by millions of sons and daughters of the incarcerated across the country.

See You in the Sky is a tender tale of hope revealing how finally, through many years, Jeri learns to trust and reconnect with her father by being honest, facing her hurt, and opening her heart to forgiveness.

This was an amazing story of an amazing hawk that took me underneath her wing at the age of two. My memories growing up are of face painting, puppet shows and loving memories with our family. I’m so sorry to hear some of the stuff that went on in your life that I didn’t know about but I just want to tell you thank you for protecting me since day one I love you so much.

So beautiful well done🌈

I absolutely loved the story and the takeaway. A lesson in understanding how to cope with childhood trauma. The book starts out as a wonderful story and then you understand how you take the trauma into your everyday life. The author then takes us through the journey of healing. Beautiful story

It draws you in. Story is excellent
