Publisher's Summary

The Montgomery Ink: Boulder series concludes with a fake relationship where the heat and emotional connection are anything but false.

The moment Madison McClard’s parents tell her that her ex is getting married, there’s no getting out of their latest scheme. One moment she’s trying to get out of their clutches. The next, they’re telling her exactly who she’ll marry to save the family name. The one thing her parents don’t count on, however: Aaron Montgomery.

Aaron Montgomery didn’t mean to lie. Still, as soon as he overheard Madison’s dilemma, the words fell out of his mouth. Now, he’s fake engaged to a woman he barely knows, who also happens to be his new brother-in-law’s cousin.

As the deception mounts, so does the attraction. They told themselves it was only a ruse, but as feelings ramp and dangers surge, this Montgomery may have just met his match.

He simply has to fight to keep her.

Love Madison and Aaron

This is a story of two friends who are willing to lie to protect Madison from being forced to marry a guy she doesn’t know. Aaron and Madison are friends and have been for a while now so Aaron does the only thing he can think of when he hears how Madison’s mom is talking to her. He says that he and Madison are getting married. Their friendship is one thing they don’t want to lose but they find themselves along the way and realize they are meant to be more. It takes some tragic events for things to come into focus.

Amazing friends to lovers story!

A wonderful fake boyfriend romance, or well, fake fiancé. I’ve really enjoyed reading Madison and Aaron’s story. It had all the emotion, character growth, and romance I’d hoped for. Madison is treated more than a little shabbily, often cruelly even, by her parents, and she has trouble standing up for herself. It’s not easy to go against your parents, and when her mother takes her cruelty and controlling behavior to the next level, Aaron intercedes and poses as Madison’s fake fiancé to help get some of the pressure of her. Lies tend to complicate matters, of course, even well-intentioned ones, and as Aaron and Madison get thrown together more, it gets more and more difficult to sort out what is real between them and what isn’t. Aaron and Madison have great chemistry and appreciate each other for who they really are. I loved them together! I also loved how playful and sensual they are and how caring. Aaron can get protective and a little jealous, which is understandable given the uncertainty about where they stand. Communication is key, as he should now, what with all the romance novels he reads. Loved that about Aaron! Madison is a strong character, if not in as obvious a way as other more outspoken characters in the series, but in her capacity for love and forgiveness. She learns to stand up for herself more, which was awesome, and I was so happy with how things eventually evolved between her and her parents. Apart from the wonderful romance and great character development, there is also some suspense and danger thrown in, upping the tension levels and emotional intensity of the story even more. Unexpected twist there, loved it. Loved this entire story. Narration: Teddy Hamilton did a good job with his performance of this story. This was a very engaging listen, and I liked the voices he did for both Madison and Aaron.

love CAR Boulder crew

I absolutely loved the narrator of this one. A strong narrator can make or break an audio. This was a great addition to my afternoon walks. I get so caught up in the story. I loved how Aaron jumped in to be there for Madison. They had such chemistry that I couldn't stop reading. Madison's parents were not people I would want to meet. Their interaction with Madison was horrible. Thankfully, Aaron was there for her. It showed what a good man he is. Of course, all the Montgomery men and women are all amazing!

Touching and emotional fake romance story!

4.5-loved it stars! This review is for the audiobook: I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook of Seduced In Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan and I loved it. Narrated by Teddy Hamilton, I loved listening to Aaron and Madison’s story. A fake relationship romance that was emotional and touching. Madison’s ex is getting married and her parents have decide to set her future for her. What is a girl to do when Aaron decides to jump to her rescue and now they are fake engaged? My heart broke for Madison, whose parents tended to walk all over, but I loved watching her grow during her journey. Aaron was caring and fun. They were friends and never expected the lines to blur, but now, can they see what is right in front of them? I loved their chemistry and watching them explore more in their relationship. Happy listening!

Couldn't stop listening!!

This series just gets better, I have swoon over each main character for this series but I was wanting Madison's story so much. She is spunky and has this big inner strength. She is very relatable. Most of us have that one close relative that loves to push for your own good. Aaron Montgomery what can I say? He is hot, an artist and has a giant heart. He is a modern day knight in shining armor. His big heart drew me in. The narration was amazing, this was my first time listening to Teddy Hamilton and I loved it. His voice is smooth and warm. Great job and giving the characters unique voice. Looking forward to hearing more of his work.

Aaron is a sweetheart

Aaron was a sweetheart trying to help save Madison from her overbearing and extremely manipulative mother when he announces their engagement in an effort to save her from mother's barrage of insults. There was so much more to Seduced in Ink than I expected. A mixture of friendship, romance, suspense, and a bit of danger that I really enjoyed Aaron and Madison's story. I absolutely love Teddy Hamilton and he did such a great job narrating the many characters giving each their own unique voice.

Erin Montgomery!!

A fake relationship and horrible parents. Madison, a good friend of the Montgomerys is having a rough time with her parents, specially her mother, forcing her to an arranged marriage. Erin saves her from that terrible fate by posing as her fiancé. It’s a fun romance, with its crazy scary moments and lots of family intervention. Loved Madison and Erin...

❤️❤️❤️

Aaron Montgomery is a good guy (hot too, but that’s another thing). So when he hears his friend Madison being verbally beat up & strong armed by her mom, he can’t help but step in. And say he’s her fiancé. After the initial shock wore off, they decided to go with it, to give Madison time to stand up for herself to her mother, who doesn’t quit on trying to push someone else on her (she’s a hard pill to swallow). Soon things start heating up for real, and fake gets kinda hot. There are still hurdles, like a jerk and a mom, but they work really good together to face and conquer them. And turn a friend helping a friend into real love. And Teddy Hamilton does a great job of bringing the story to life

Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary

life, love gives us a fairy tale. ~Unknown~ Let's start with the narration, Teddy Hamilton, enough said. No really, he is brilliant and so talented. I love his range and his female voices are the best. He really made this story so good!!! Truthfully, Madison and Aaron annoyed me for about 60% of the book and it wasn't really their fault. The fake engagement trope is cringy and I absolutely loath it. But that's just my opinion. I did not like listening to the same repetitive dialog over and over again. They just went back and forth about "this is fake, what if she doesn't feel the same, what if he doesn't feel the same". The inner banter was frustrating. I understand not wanting to put yourself out there due to getting hurt and books like this need the inner turmoil for it to be interesting, but for over half of the book... sigh... The overall story was really fantastic though and that's why I gave this book 5 stars. Just because I hate fake engagements doesn't mean the book deserves a low rating. The angst and plot involving Guy, Madison's mother and father was fantastic. I would recommend this series to others because Carrie's books are phenomenal.

Loved it

Book 4 in Montgomery Ink Boulder by Carrie Ann Ryan. Book narrated by Teddy Hamilton Madison is Lincoln cousin and see each other as brother and sister. Madison doesn’t have a great relationship with her mother. Maeve Madison’s mother is awful and tries to sort Madison love life by setting her up with a guy called Guy her future husband. Aaron sees what’s happening and pretends to be her fiancé to stop her mother control her life. This gets really complicated and Aaron and Madison start the relationship with clear boundaries but very quickly they struggled to keep a clear line. Absolutely loved this book especially with it having Lincoln family and Montgomery’s all together. My only flaw was have one narrator even though Teddy Hamilton did a fabulous job it would have been nice to have a female doing Madison part.
