What an amazing story. When two people are meant to be, love will find a way to make it work - even when they are from opposite worlds...

He is a fae warrior and she is just a human

I enjoyed listening to this story. It was the first one I have read in the series, but I didn't feel lost not knowing who everyone was already. Alice is a human woman who was adopted by a fae family when she was a baby and was found crying in the street next to her dead mother. She has always wished she could be fae so that she would fit in. She has a crush on Nolan, or Doc as he is known, but knows he is an "alphahole" who just wants to act bossy and superior.

Alice has been kidnapped and has no idea where she has been taken, or by whom. Fortunately, Doc shows up to rescue her but that doesn't go quite as he planned. When he is attacked and, by all appearances, killed, Alice finds out that her captor is none other than the former fae commander and he intends to sell her to the highest bidder. Apparently her virginity is worth something. When Doc reappears and they manage to escape he has to take her to a safe house while he recovers his strength.

He is strong enough to take care of her little virginity problem. Of course, since he is a dominant who is into BDSM this goes a little differently than Alice might have thought. Doc, however, is not in it for the long haul. So why does he knot her if he plans to let her go?

I thought there were a few phrases that were used a little too much. Maybe it is because I was listening to the book rather than reading it that I noticed. I will let you decide for yourself.

Doc & Alice's Story Combines Danger And BDSM!

This is book three of the Fae's Claim series. Each book is an interconnected stand-alone. The first book was Dante and Gia's story. Book two was Tristan and Jess's story. Here is Doc/Nolan's story with his assistant, Alice. 

At the close of book two, Doc and Alice had argued and she had stormed off prior to his engagement in a Dare, a social gathering in which two Fae males fight. She thought he was foolish to jealoardize his hands, which he needs to practice medicine. The story ended as Doc suddenly teleported away from the Dare without explanation. 

In addition to being a medical doctor, Doc is part of the Fae Corps. He also has some dragon blood, but he hasn't developed any distinguishable dragon features other than his occasionally slanted eyes. Like his good friend Tristan, Nolan has a dark past. It has left him scarred, unable to deal with his emotions. The corps teaches methods to control outward signs of stress, but sadism is the only cure he knows for his darkness. He avoids Alice because she is his weakness. Her innocent but teasing way drives him crazy. 

Alice is tough for a human. She was adopted and raised in a Fae family after her mother died in a Berserker attack in Bombay. She is convinced Nolan is the one and has been saving herself for him. When she is kidnapped from the beach and put up for auction, her hopes seem to be at an end.

Doc and Alice's story combines danger with elements of BDSM. The struggle for power continues in this book, as both new and old faces make an appearance. Doc and Alice eventually get their happy ending, and two additional matches are poised for a romance story of their own. 

This story is well-written. The plot is complex, though some parts of the story drag. The characters are nicely developed. It is written in first person. The POV alternates between Doc and Alice. I rate this book four stars. 

As for the Audio: it is well-performed by both narrators and consistent with the book.

Another fantastic read from a fantastic author. All the reads in this series is fantastic and I recommend this audiobook. Narrators did a fantastic job also.

Love Nolan

Unbelievably steamy, wonderful story, amazing characters and oh so good. Sexy alpha males and the women they love. Laxmi is fast becoming one of my go to reads.

Fae's Claim Series

Seduced by the Fae: Paranormal Romance (Fae's Claim Book 3) is fiery. A passionate; on fire listen. This author creates a sculpted, signet read that exhibits her maven. Tornado like effects cascading through the pages with suspense seeping through at every chapter. With riveting plot twists, melodrama, impassioned chemistry between Alice and Doc (aka Nolan) entwined within the narrative. Character's are compelling with complex personalities. A graphically detailed and descriptive new cosmos that you can escape to for a little while. Looking forward to listening the next novel in this highly addictive series when available.

Narrators Wen Ross, Kai Kennicott duet narration performance was super-hot to listen to. My favourite duet these two brought this audio to reality. Wen's deep baritone inflection is intoxicating to listen to and Kai's sweet inflection is soulful.

Absolutely loved the narration. A entertaining listen.

HOT HOT HOT

This book is too HOT! Even though this was my first fae book by Laxmi, it was HOT and I cannot wait to read the rest and get caught up on them.

Awesome

The two main characters in this story is very expressive, especially when they are talking about their desire for each other. The characters voices and the way the story is told makes me want to listen it over and over again. I cannot get tired of paranormal stories like these that have good story line and is well written. you can always count an a brilliant story from this author, you will never be disappointed. not all audio books bring the story alive so well but this one is brilliant.

i hadn't read a PRM in yrs so decided to give the fae series a try OMG hot isn't the word i listened to the whole series in one week stayed a wake the whole night one night laxmi hariharan is a amazing author made me love PNR again. if you dont want lots of sexy time this isnt for you if you do plus like a little dom accept this book is for you be sure to read the who series. rember these are not based on full humans although there's always humans in them like this one the main female character alice is human. Doc is fae with part shape shifter dragon in him. yay laxmi hariharan and yay the fae series

Biggest Alphahole in the Series!

I read book 4 before listening to this one, so there was a few things I already knew about but... Wow, Nolan turned up to be the most infuriating and twisted of our fae bunch. He takes the dominant macho alpha to a sadistic level, and I'm not kidding. He's some scary dude in bed; to the point I had to skip a sex scene. Guess he's too much for me.

Aside from that the book itself is just as emotionally packed as the rest of the series. Starting with the usual kidnapping, telling us a bit the lead characters traumatic pasts and then giving us a few action scenes that end up with the big boss fight. Never expected Doc was a hybrid just like Gabriel, so that was a nice surprise. All in all, even when I must admit Nolan didn't made me swoon over him it was a great read.

Brilliant

I love this series. The Dominance has been handled so well. Laxmi has written these book with great care and attention. Excellent performance.
