A Gritty, roamnce -- A Great Plt

Book 6 in the series is set in the Florida Keys. It is a continuation of from previous books. Meg meets Valentino, the owner and proprietor of an ultra secret, ultra-primate resort. When the ultra-private nature of the resort is threatened and that of Michael personal life (Movie Star) is jeopardized, the good guys embark on a good old who-did-it. Except, this who-did-it has a flavor of a thriller that gives the overall novel more depth and texture -- well done. This is a romance novel, heavy on the romance (very light on the sex scenes). Although parts are predictable, the narrative moves along and the plot points are riveting. Tanya Eby continues to turn in great performances.

In this book we meet Valentino's sister Gabby. My money is on book seven being about her. I hope so, because we learn a great deal about her in this novel and it will be interesting to see how she evolves. Bybee has done a great job keeping the series fresh and interesting. I give it a big thumbs up and look forward to book seven. Give it a read.

Great series! Fantastic narrator!

Great contemporary romance series! Ever since I stumbled upon "Not Quite Dating" I have devoured every single book by Catherine Bybee and haven't been disappointed yet. When I started the series, I was wondering whether the arranging-fake-marriages set up would be too silly and predictable, but Catherine Bybee has such a talent creating interesting story lines and wonderful characters, you just get pulled in.
I like how the previous characters always reappear and you end up with that one big happy family feeling. It's just really entertaining escapism on a dull day. Good mixture of mystery/suspense and love story.
Tanya Eby does such a great job narrating all the audio versions. I am in awe of her ability to master the male voices. Every time I start listening to one of these, I can't stop until I've finished it.

Great Story & Great Narration !

I’ve listened to 6 of the 7 books in the series & enjoyed the character development in each one. There is some explicit sex, but it’s not overdone. The narration is good. Overall, it’s an easy, like-able series - and yet each book can standalone as well.
