Publisher's Summary

After an unstable childhood, Zoey Knight landed in Juneau, Alaska, during high school, and has never left. Now in her early 30s, she lives a quiet life that includes part-time caretaker for a beloved father figure. Despite the stability, she occasionally wishes for more adventure. She gets more than she bargained for when a plane she’s in goes down in a remote stretch of wilderness - and the only other passenger is a man she’s crushed on for years.

Life as a SEAL doesn’t allow for much spare time, but Mark "Bubba" Wright still regrets not trying harder to visit his pop. Now it’s too late, and the guilt is heavy when he heads to Alaska for the reading of his father’s will. The only bright spot is finding a girl he knew in high school on the same tiny plane. The same woman, it turns out, who’s been taking care of his pop...a girl he crushed on in high school.

Struggling to survive in the Alaska back country isn’t the kind of second chance either envisioned, but relying on each other makes Zoey and Bubba’s rekindled attraction hotter than ever. Funny how puzzling out who might want them dead can bring a couple closer together....

Securing Zoey is the fourth book in the SEAL of Protection: Legacy Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

Ho hum

I’m beginning to tire of the formulaic nature of these books by Ms Stoker. This was okay but although there was a connection there wasn’t a lot of heat.

I would love to read/listen to one of Ms Stoker’s stories that deviated from the same plot device

Great read, but...

Love these books so much.
The only thing I didn’t like about this one was the narrators “guy voice.”
Just didn’t fit.
Otherwise everything else was good.

Awesome couple and story!

I really enjoyed Mark “Bubba’s” and Zoey’s exciting journey to their HEA. As always I love how we get a taste of the next book at the end of this one too. The narration was great!

Securing a refund

Oh, good lord, what a crock. The characters had multiple personalities, re-re-repeated same protestations, were sappy and unbelievable. The only redeeming quality of this book was the POTENTIAL of the storyline. It was an awesome storyline, but the characters...well, they didn't belong in this book; they belonged in Snow White, or Cinderella, or left behind in the author's mind. Zoey was whiney, spineless, whimpy and had absolutely no personality, no qualities...And a SEAL, a SEAL would never talk in the manner that Mark talked. There was nothing masculine about him, and he also lacked a personality. I wanted to like these characters, this book, the narration...But it was subpar, which is a loss because the idea was good. This could have been a masterpiece if the author had taken time, researched Alaska, had not re-re-repeated dialogue (it really got old). If a book can be written to be read in only 3 hours, don't add 7 hours of nonsense for the status quo. I don't plan to read any other in the series or other books by this author. Quality really is more important than quantity. I imagine manuscripts are "recycled" and names changed for variety. Review too harsh? I think that's because as readers, we become invested and give our time, our imagination to go on that journey...only to be duped.

What a sad, but awesome story

Bubba and Zoey are left in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness while on their way to Bubba's father's funeral. What was supposed to be an easy kill situation is anything but..Bubba and Zoey survive weeks in the wilderness and while his team is searching for him, it becomes obvious that someone wants them dead, but why? and who?

Watching these 2 come together while trying to stay alive was so good. Zoey was refreshing and while they had a connection as high schoolers, they found that they still have it and after they're rescued, they continue to explore it and each other. However, the question remains, who is behind their initial life threatening situation?

I felt so bad for Bubba and Zoey..but watching them come together and decide to put Alaska and all of its bad memories behind them made it all better.

Great story..

Enjoyed

I did enjoy listening to Savannah Peachwood

Zoey and Mark find themselves on the small plane, It is then Mark remembers Zoey from high school and she had dated his twin.. Also Zoey was Mark's late fathers' help and cared for him .

We have a plane crash, wild Alaska, betrayal , honour and love..... lets not forget the miss communication .

Loved Marks neighbour
