Publisher's Summary

Time doesn't always heal wounds, and no one knows that better than Angel Conrad. When she left her hometown in Oklahoma, she never expected to see it again. There was nothing there for her anymore: The love of her life had left her for someone else - not to mention the baby she'd been keeping a secret. Now she's headed back to Oklahoma to prove that she deserves to be the last one laughing.

Clancy Morgan knows he made the biggest mistake of his life the night he walked away from Angel. Now that she's back, he'll do anything to show her how much she's always meant to him. But with secrets and broken hearts between them, he'll have some serious groveling to do to if he hopes to stand a chance at winning her back.

Simply awful

I couldn’t wait for it to end. I kept hoping SOMETHING would happen. It didn’t. I love Carolyn Brown stories. They are usually sweet, with likable characters. The characters in this book are one dimensional and too good to be true.
The narrator was ok with female voices but the male characters were difficult to listen to.
Skip this one and try another Carolyn Brown book.

Not sure

I love Carolyn Brown books but I just couldn’t get into this one. 😢 It really didn’t seem like a book she wrote.

Too Predictable

Story started out strong but as it moved along seem too simple and predictable.
Read many of your books and really expected better.
I’ll keep exploring

Not Her Best

Carolyn Brown is one of my favorite authors, but this book was a struggle for me. The narration for the males was horrible.

Secrets in the Sand

I really enjoyed this one. It was quick. The main characters were likable and the story moved along quickly. Not my favorite, but I was entertained. The narrator was perfect.

Loved it.

Another Carolyn Brown favorite.

Sometimes it is hard for me to get on the “give someone a second chance” wagon, specially when there’s a big hurt in the way.

In this story I came to terms with the forgiveness, and by the end I was glad things resolved the way they did.

A good book with a good narration, and I couldn’t ask for more.

Recommended audiobook!

Weak character in Clancey,

Not the best one by Ms. Brown I normally love her characters but not in this one so much.

Anti-climatic

This book was OK. Savannah Peachwood did a great job, but the book was very mild on everything. I typically listen to more drama filled books, and this one caught my eye. I enjoyed this, but it was not quite my cup of tea.

Cute!

This a short love story. If your looking for little drama & quick love story this is it. Love that about Carolyn Brown stories. She has great series & stand-alone a. My only complaint on this one is that POV of the story is mostly from the Angel’s view. But it would change @ times quickly to Clancy’s even to her business partners/friends. This messed up the flow of the story for me cause I had to stop & go back to reread from that POV.
Narration is great. I always enjoy Savannah Peachwood.
