Great story

Loved the connection the characters have. Dylan is one smart man . He is a complicated compassionate man. Penelope is a down to earth compassionate woman. Loved all the twist in this story.

Intriguing story filled with twists and turns!

Listening to the first several chapters of this book is like watching a tapestry being woven. I really wasn't sure were Christopher was exactly going as far as making this a romance book. Then as the chapters weaved together, the threads started taking shape and the romance picture became clearer. This book is filled with intrigue, greed, secrets, honest and dishonest business owners, good friends and family members, and love. There will also be some passionate and explosive love scenes. Dylan has worked for the rich and powerful. As this story progressives we watch as his goal and priorities change. I see the most character development in Dylan. Penelope's character also develops but her main concern has been for a family member. I like how Christopher even let's us gain more insight into Graham, Dylan's mentor and extremely successful businessman. This story will take many twists and turns. There will be many times when you will hold your breath and fear for Dylan and Penelope. This is a complex story that will have you on the edge of your seat.

Muffy and Lance are new narrators to me. They did an outstanding job of portraying the emotions and personalities of these characters. They gave the characters distinctive voices thereby bringing them to life. With their voices and the author's words, I was able visualize the story and the tapestry was now complete. I highly recommend this Audible book for you listening pleasure. Kudos to the author and to the narrators.

A quick love story, but still one to remember. Narrators did a great job!

great addition to the cocky hero collection

Really liked this book. Penelope and Dylan were written expertly. It was full of angst and suspense. This was my first book by this author but will not be my last. Also this cover is HOT. WOW.

A story that wasn’t my cup of coffee.

I personally could not get into this story. The best way for me to describe it is that it felt instalove while being a full length book.

Dylan is Graham’s (Stuck-Up Suit) right hand man. He’s looking for a new gig since his boss is moving. A jack of all trades, Dylan is in job limbo and takes a possible new gig which leads to meeting up with Penelope, a woman he first meets when she moves into a building he manages.

I liked Dylan a lot. A smart, but unsure of himself character. He’s got a grounded quality I admired. Penelope was fine, but felt distanced. I couldn’t really get why they would be together. The conflict felt empty as well.

The narration was very good. If anything, my only issue was Erin Mallon’s male voice was a bit huskier than Lance Greenfield’s. Still, quite enjoyable listen despite how I felt about the story.

And I gotta love Graham and Soraya doing a little part in this.

Secret Keeper

This book was full of suspense, action, sexiness, feelings. It had it all. I loved this book and was so sad when it ended. I wanted to hear more of their story. Dylan and Penelope fit so well!

Lance Greenfield and Muffy Newtown were perfect narrators for this story. They were really able to bring t to life.

Thanks for giving us such a great story Christopher Harlan!

I really wanted to give this five stars, because the story is really good, but I felt frustrated a few different times because of the way things were said like they hadn’t happened already and it just made me confused for a bit. Otherwise I really enjoyed this book:)

poorly written

This needed a whole lot of editing. The dialog was incredibly repetitive. The characters were nonsensical and unbelievable. People just don't act that way.

Enjoyed the story and narration

This was the first Christopher Harlan novel for me, and I found it through the Cocky Hero Club universe. It was intriguing, interesting, engaging and I felt invested in the characters throughout.

An enjoyable read/listen. The narration by Muffy Newtown and Lance Greenfield was as expected. These are two seasoned narrators that always bring life to the romance characters that they take on.

Cute story

I thought this story was really cute. I thought I recognized some of the characters but did not realize who they were till I read the other reviews! I love seeing characters from other books in new ones! The characters were likable and funny. I usually like the insta love stories but I felt like I wanted a little more build up from this one. It felt like they went from 0-basically a couple that’s been together a long time. I think it could have been nice to have a slightly slower burn for them. Overall though it was great! 💕💕💕 I definitely want to check out more by this author!
