Absolutely Amazing!!!

OMG!!! This series!!!! The first two book destroyed me in so many ways and then slowly pieced me back together and this book was no different! I went through every emotion possible when reading Jonas' POV. First I loved him, then I hated him, then I felt bad for him. Seriously! Gina Jones really knows how to tug at every single heart string!!! I must admit, even though I am extremely happy to finally have all the answers, I am sad to see this story end. I will definitely be returning to this series anytime I need a read with lots of twists and turns!

The narration was perfect! I wouldn't change a thing about it!

What a ride!! Gina gave us one roller coaster of a mystery!! I never knew which way was up. Who did it? who's the enemy? What's the truth? Who to trust? I loved it!!! this series grew and grew with one mystery after another. As soon as one mystery because clear, another would develop. I thought it was fantastic!

Narration was great! Aaron Shedlock always has a wonderful narration. His female voice is AMAZING. Great portrayal, clear voice, clean editing. A++

Perfectly sculpted!

Narrator Review (Aaron):

THIS. MAN. Jeez I can listen to him all day. Do not drive and listen to this audiobook, you will be so distracted. I'm speaking from experience here. Listen to Aaron in a "safe place." So, in a bubble bath. This is assuming you won't accidentally drown yourself because your head's tipping over from swooning.

Aaron is just dangerous no matter where you listen to him. My favorite part about this narration is his timing. He has impeccable comedic timing, even when the text has dark undertones. I can't help but snort in agreement whenever he says something totally outlandish because it just makes SENSE. Aaron makes it make sense. Does that make sense?

He has a rare talent of grabbing my guts and twisting them in knots. In the most satisfying way, of course.

Book Review:

Our hunk of a devil is finally at the end of his transformation! Or so we thought. You know, Julia and Jonas have been though a heck of lot in the last two books...now, you'd think they'd finally get their happy ending, right?

Well, they do. But we're talking about Gina A. Jones right now, and she knows how to stir up the angst!

In this book, we experience Jonas and his thoughts. We are presented a string of timelines that portray the complex world of Jonas Fairbanks. I didn't think Gina Jones could outdo herself, but she completely tore me up with this final book of the series. My heart is leaking.

You'd all be proud of me...I read the series in order this time. Believe me, I tried to skip ahead to figure out what happens next, but I'd only end up completely frustrated that I missed out on two pages of text! Like, gag! It's torture.

This book is saucy, y'all. SAUC-AY. Jonas is laying it all out of the table for us to devour, and I gladly accept this challenge.

--
"I want to go with you…but don’t make me watch you have sex with someone else...okay?"
--

Oh how far we've come since Book #1.

Does everything happen for a reason? I hope not, because I just want Julia and Jonas to finally be happy together! The deception. The lies. Julia and Jonas navigate dark waters together as demons continue to pull at their relationship. But, of course, Gina Jones does that brilliant thing she always does and pulls the piece together for a killer of an ending.

Secret Enemy is perfectly sculpted.

Great addition to the series. Is suspenseful, intriguing, captivating and with great characterization, tiwsts and turns.
Expect the unexpected. The recap was thoughtful but a little overdone, just my personal opinion.

Excellent performance by Aaron Shedlock!!

I don't go into big detail, since this is part of a series and I wouldn't ever spoil a story for someone else.

Secret Enemy

Secret Enemy was the best book in the Secret Series. This series needs to be turned into a movie. I enjoyed listening to it, and I thought that the narrator was excellent. It was very interesting to see things from Jonas' point of view. At times, I was angry with him, and other times I was sad for him. However, what I enjoyed most were the subtle Christian elements. Now let me explain; some people reading will say this is definitely not how Christian characters should act. Keep in mind that I did not say this was a Christian book, but it had touches of the Christian faith, which did not bother me because I mostly read Christian fiction.

I hope Gina A. Jones will give Luke and Natalie a story. I know Luke is much younger than her, but wouldn't that make an interesting twist? Gina A. Jones, if you are reading this review, please give these two a story. Overall, this was one of the best series that I have had the privilege to indulge in for a while. I did not want it to end. I want Sydney to have her own story too.

I feel lost, because I feel like these characters are my friends who I know will stay in my head for weeks and months. They will say, "Do you remember when you listened to the story about a damaged king, an innocent queen, and princess who just wanted a family?"

Oh my!

When I first started the first book, I was like ughhhhh. Tell me I didn't just sign up to read a book that is going to be so cheesy and corny my mind will numb. I kept reading though. Because I'm stubborn. I am SO glad I did. This series is far from cheesy or corny. It's full of suspense and intrigue. I loved every moment of it. I'm normally not for a point of view switch in the series, but I was here for this one! I felt that it couldn't have been a better shift. Not only that but it was a nice recap of the first two books as well! Just from another perspective. I fully recommend this book. If you had asked me if I'd fall in love with the characters and the series when I started the first book, I would have laughed and said no. But it happened. I WANT MORE! PLEASE!!!

Awesome ending to a awesome series

What a series. I had to take a day or so after finishing this third book of the secret series just to come down and gather my thoughts. You know a series/book is awesome when that happens. I really felt a connection to these characters. None were perfect, but perfectly flawed. You can really relate to each one, good or bad. Now, with this third book we got a different point of view and a different narrator. I thought both the lady from the first two and the man with this one did an excellent job. Some male narrators have trouble with female voices and distinguishing their male voices. This one had no troubles, everything was easy to listen to and very pleasant. I tried to savor this third installment, but it didn’t work out that way, I was hooked from the start and had to know what would happen next. The time jumps was easy to follow. And it was nice knowing Jonas’s point of view on the things that was happening, plus we got to know what happened before book one. It was such a treat. I loved, even if I cringed a little, on how he was determined to fix everything. Is he perfect, no, he messed up, a lot. However I think he was being so manipulated by the scheming people around him, which led to him doing some of the things. I was really proud of Julia in this book. I would have loved to read the things she did from her point of view though. Overall this is a great ending for this series. I recommend all three of the books, His Secret- Her Secret- Secret Enemy.

The answers to the questions are found within

I loved hearing Jonas' point of view. The repeating of previous scenes in his point of view really answered so many unanswered questions. Jonah's story filled in any blanks and tied all the characters together. Once again, as I thought I had it all figured out, the plot twisted to be a surprise ending. The ties to the past in both Jonas and Julia's lives was a very sweet touch. The sex was hotter and more in this book, but then again, it was a guy's point of view. The only confusion I had, was the constant jumping from past to present. I found I really had to pay attention to this story or I got lost quickly.

Aaron Shedlock was superb in narrating Jonas. Mr Sherlock brought out his roughness, yet was still able to show that sweet side for his girls. Mr Shedlock seperated the characters with different tones and they were consistent and easy to follow. Mr Shedlock made it seem as if Jonas was talking to me as he told me his troubles. Aaron Shedlock's narration enhanced the overall experience of this story.

So satisfying!

In this third and final installment of the secret series, Gina A Jones let's Jonas tell us the story of how things ended up where they are. I had my reservations about this man for the first two books. With so many unanswered questions, this point of view was a necessary move, and really brought light to the continued secrets and lies. While Julia has grown from young and naive to strong and determined, Jonas has learned what life is really about and hopefully how to achieve it. I love the journey these two souls have taken, and it goes to show that no matter how imperfect the people or relationship, with love, compromise and persistence, happiness will prevail. I am not a huge fan of cliffhangers, but I felt that Jones crafted this series in a way that each book would give just enough to leave you satisfied, but still wanting more. Characters like Jenna and Rebecca will leave you angry and annoyed, but with just enough doubt to wonder if they deserve some happiness. Then you find out the full story and you are know exactly what they deserve and just hope that it turns out the way you think! This is the perfect blend of suspense, angst, steam and romance. The series will leave you with a serious book hangover and looking for the next generation of stories. Will Luke's be in the future? Or Sidney? I can't wait to see who is next.

Aaron Shedlock portrays Jonas with complete precision. His voice gives Jonas enough of an edge that at times it is hard to tell if he is the bad guy or if you should sympathize with his plight! It's perfect, keeps you guessing and makes you feel. As always, his transitions between characters is flawless and completes the story excellently.

Lots of duplication...

I was excited to get his pov with this narrator after suffering through the female narration of the first 2 books. she was very monotonous in her delivery. this narrator was very good. the 3rd book could have been half as long as there were so so many duplicate scenes from the first 2 books, like every sex scene. I expected to get some information on what he was doing during their separation of 3 months... but nope mostly just his side of the story, plus the new enemy storyline.
the premise was good the series would have been better had this last book been less duplication.

A Must Listen Series!

I cannot describe how much I loved this trilogy, it is now one of my top book series! I loved every twist, I loved the characters, I loved the settings, I loved the story telling, suspense and surprises! I loved the narration - Aaron was perfect and I loved listening to his telling Jonas's side of his story and his love and passion for the love of his life. I don't want to spoil anything and give anything away but if you like hot, romantic suspense stories then this is a must for you! I will definitely be reading more of Gina's work in the future!

Stunningly brilliant

WOW - I dont think i have loved and hated a story as much as I did this one!!! The twists and turns of this rollercoaster of emotions had me enthralled!!
What a stunningly amazing last book of the series.
Having it from Jonas's point of view seemed weird at first but with the flash backs to the past running along side the current times line it filled in all the blanks from his side of the story and more secrets are uncovered!!
I cant recommend this series strongly enough if you are looking for many hours of thrilling, intruiging and sexy story telling!!

Gutted it’s over

I threw the headphones in and started the car .. a mans voice! Noooo! What are they doing!!! (Obviously I hadn’t read the blurb, it would prolong my listening) Aaron Sherlock read it fantastically, he was Jonus! And he did the other voices proud. This was his story! ... it was Awesome!

A Great Grand Finale!

I loved that we get to see from Jonas' point of view in this last book of the series! Jonas is both a character I absolutely loved and hated (mostly got frustrated with him).

This book and the whole entire series are incredibly well written. The author masterfully wraps up this fabulous series in this one. We finally get all the answers to everything and Jonas' perspective allows us to get even more understanding of things that went down in the 1st two books. I loved every single minute of it.

On one hand, I was sad to see this series end, but on the other hand it was so satisfying.

The narrator did a wonderful job as Jonas. He made this masterful writing absolutely sensational. Magnificent performance.

Also, this narrator's voice is soooooooo super s*xy!

HEA for Julia and Jonas

The best thing in this third and final instalment of the series was that Julia grew into that strong female lead character she was meant to be from the beginning. She lost herself quite a bit in the second book but definintely put herself back together for the grand finale. This time around Jonas was the incapable one stack with his juvenile fits of jealousy and accusations.

As this final story was told in Jonas's POV there was a lot of dialogues and parts repeated which was to be expected. What didn't impress me at all was those dialogues or happenings were mostly ones I've already read from Julia's POV not ones I wasn't privy to from previous books. So the amount of repetition vs new was disproportionate and did little to add new aspects or information about Jonas's personality. I also didn't understand why mostly the first book's story was repeated and showed through Jonas's eyes. So many things happened in book 2 I would have liked to understand the reasons of or the motivation behind.

Aaron Shedlock was a very good choice to narrate this book. He did a great job. The way he acted out the different accents was very enjoyable. He used a very low intimate tone at the most emotional parts of the story and brought to life Jonas's character amazingly.

Secret Enemy

A perfect ending to this series. I must admit that I was getting quite angry with Jonas in this book but lucky for me he was able to turn it around. Just like the previous books you will feel many emotions through the whole thing and will be happy to see an amazing ending for these two.

Secrets Revealed! Great Ending to a Great Series!

I loved & enjoyed this series, Gina A. Jones’ books capture your attention, entertains your and keeps you thinking and wondering through out. “Secret Enemy” is Jonas’ point of view, events from the first two books are revisited and we learn his side of the story and what was going thru his mind. Oh my Jonas you are one devious minded devil! I hated him for a good chunk of the book, I will say no more do not want to spoil anyone else’s hate. The time lines switches between past and present, in the present you are taken for another rollercoaster ride with more mystery, suspense and drama. Gina A. Jones you are a mastermind, thank you for this amazing series, it entertaining and thought provoking, kept me wondering to the very end and what a great ending it was, great epilogues too.

I listened to the Audible edition, Aaron Shedlock is a fabulous narrator, he is a natural talent knows how to bring a story and its characters to life right from the pages to your ears. His portrayal of Jonas was phenomenal. Thank you for the great listen.

Love always wins

First of all, the narrattion by Aaron Shedlock was amazing, he portrayed all the characters in a marvelous way combining different voices and accents which made the book so much enjoyable.

As for the story; the book is told now on Jonas' point of view and it altetnates between past and present. On the one hand it was interesting listening to some of events that occurred on the past because we get to learn what really happened, and why he did certain things, on the other hand, I think that there are some parts that weren't necessary because they didn't tell you anything new, it was just a repetition of book 1, and it got tirening. Besides, there is about an 80% of past events and the other 30% is the present.

In regards of the events happening in the present, they were interesting and had me wondering again how everything was going to be solved. I loved Julia in this book, because she finally is the strong heroine and is the one who has the upper hand and saves the day (well done Julia)

The END !!!!! what an end!!

First... I loved the narration. I have always enjoyed books that turn around and give me the other viewpoint. This one did not disappoint. I loved revisiting book 1 and 2... Aaron did such a great job. The suspense, mystery, loose ends, oh wow. I totally loved this trilogy. It was so much fun going through the suspense, anxiety, and whoa! moments.

I definitely recommend this. What a great read, and two thumbs up to Aaron Shedlock and Gina Jones. What a great way to pass the time.
