Loved it

This book is so good. Full of laughter, love, and steamy scenes. The narrators are perfect, giving it the feeling that you are watching instead of just listening by making the story come alive.

I will be looking for Rye and Ash's tale of love, as well as June's journey to happiness. Can't wait to see Oliver fall in love with that special woman and if they make it to the altar before the baby comes out of he keeps up the family tradition.

Sweet romance

I thought this was a good sweet romance. It started off with a one night stand but ends up being so much more.

Keffer and Dara meet at a wedding and have a drunken one-night stand. Dara confides in her best friend who husband happens to be Keefer's brother. I love how Dara is quick to realize that she can care for a baby on her own. I like the insight into what the man goes through mentally in awkward situations.

Rye Linden arranges for her best friend Dara Palmer, new to town, to make the cake for her stepson’s wedding. With a bit too much to drink, Dara and a handsome stranger decide to have a one-night-stand, then he disappears on a 2-month business trip. They had not exchanged names, so contact is not possible.

Continuing to help Dara out, Rye provides a place for her to stay which happens to be next door to her mystery man, Keifer Hawthorn. He immediately upon his return home thinks she is stalking him. So he pulls crazy childish stunts that annoy her. She has discovered she is pregnant from their night together, but she chooses not to tell him -- until he finds out when one of the childish stunts, rigging a huge wire spider to drop down in her face, causes her to faint and puts her in the hospital. The dual narrators for the audiobook version, Melissa Connell and Scott R. Smith, bring the “reading” experience alive for the listener. They do a good job with the voices to personalize the story and make it easy for the listener to get an accurate and more realistic impression of what each character is like. It helps to set the mood, familiarize the reader with the characters, and offers a pleasant way to “read” and enjoy the book.

Spicy and Fun

Wow! The narration was great. This was such a wonderful, well written book. Everything I expected for Keifer and more. Dara is his match for sure. I love all the banter and pranks. This book gave me all the feels. Another great book in this series.

Adam and Eve

Dara Palmer is best friends with Rye Hawthorn. Losing her parents, Dara moves to Chicago to hopefully open a bakery. Rye asks her to bake for the wedding of June and Jared. Not able to pass up that kind of money, she does and ends up drinking a little too much and ends up hooking up with “Adam” (Keifer). Keifer is getting ready to head to the west coast for a 2-month assignment for his father’s company. Seeing Eve (Dara), he is taken in by her beauty and they have a very good night. Leaving the next morning without a note, neither knows who they really are.

Dara ends up moving into the house next to Keifer and when he returns, he loses it when he thinks that Dara is stalking him. Talk about some childish behavior on Keifer’s part! He starts pulling pranks on Dara, not knowing that she is pregnant with his child. She decides not to tell him due to his behavior and she will just raise the child on her own. When one of his pranks goes a little too far, he finds out and realizes that Dara hasn’t told him for a reason – he knows he is not good enough for her.

Plenty of secrets, lots of drama, and tons of steam! Will Adam and Eve be able to find their way back to each other? And what will the family think when they find out Keifer is going to be a father? And how will Rye feel when she finally learns the truth?

Dara is new to town. Her friend Rye Linden gets her to make the cake for her stepson’s wedding. While at the wedding Dara gets tipsy. Dara and a handsome stranger decide to have a one-night-stand. The next morning he then he disappears to go on a two month business trip. Neither of them exchanged names, or numbers so contact is not possible.
Dara moves into a new place to live. Settling in, it after a couple of months that she meets her neighbour. Keifer Hawthorn her mystery one night stand. Keifer thinks she is stalking him. So being childish he pulls pranks on her to annoy her. While Keifer is playing his silly games Dara discovers she is pregnant from their night together. Dara chooses not to tell him because his silly behaviour. One of Keifer's pranks end with Dara in hospital. It is then Keifer releases how much of fool he is.
Can these two find common ground and may them see what could be.

Good duel POV

I enjoyed this story and the narrators were really good at making the story come alive. If you love in depth spicy stories then I recommend this story to you.

Fantastic!

Another amazing look into the Hawthorn family, with this book focusing on Keifer's very bumpy road to love and happiness. Keifer never suspected that he would meet his dream girl, Dara, at his brother & best friend's wedding. Then again Keifer isn't wanting anything more than a one night stand as he is leaving on a business trip for 2 months. Imagine his surprise when he returns home and there she is again, living next door. Secrets keep these two from reliving the best night of their lives and turns them into enemies. As events spiral some secrets are discovered. Are Keifer and Dara ready to face the music? This book will have you feeling all the feels. Can't wait to see what comes next for the growing Hawthorn clan.

The narrators are absolutely amazing. They really bring the story to live and truly bring out the emotions throughout the entire book.
