since im not, i liked it alot. It was intense in it own right. I learned a few things. And I was scared as if I were there.

Outline of a story

The story was interesting but too short to be fully fleshed out. Them falling in love was completely unbelievable.

Really good story.

I enjoyed Search and Rescue, with a special plus for its short duration. One gripe only, concerning the otherwise fine narrator:
A French man’s name,Yves, is not pronounced as if it were the multiple “eaves” of a house’s roof line. It is pronounced the same as the woman’s name, “Eve.” The “s” is silent. Every time the narrator said Eaves, I rolled my eyes. It was distracting; and it happened often.

Incredible story, fantastic narration

This novel held all of my favorite characteristics of a strong female lead and a ‘bad boy’ who’s not really bad.

I love it most though because the characters built one another up and allowed one another to become fully realized as individuals. They helped one another become more themselves. And isn’t that what real love should be? The rock beneath you that holds you up,!that allows you to climb higher?

Different and fun

It took me 10-15 minutes to get into the story, but I’m glad I stuck with it. The setting and characters were different and interesting, and the descriptions were great. I hope Lily Berlin Dodd keeps writing and brings us more strong, creative and longer works.

Enjoyable

This was a nice story, short, sweet and pretty accurate too. The narration was a bit too fast so I recommend slowing it down a little. After reading and listening to novels this seems like a good outline for something longer. It's hard to believe in people falling in love in such a short amount of time but I'm willing to go with it.

Very Short

I want to say something about this book, but I feel like if I give a review for it it will be so much longer than the book itself.. the story is very short and everything was moving at a lightning speed pace, but the ending was cute and it was a nice short story overall

The narration was really good, good job for the narrator I would love to check out more of her work on full length novels

Solid Premise Ok Writing Romance

This was a fun, quick read! Inspired by the Nintendo Switch game "Firewatch", I was drawn to this story above other romance options due to its search and rescue rock climbing mountain theme. I did appreciate some of the settings, though I thought it unrealistic that the butch female main character would like wearing foo foo dresses at the bar scene.

The tension build up was good, and all of the scenes between the main characters was good. All of the other characters seemed flat and shallow and weird though, like stereotypes of the PR intern and bro sidekick kind of thing. Clay and Wren have good backgrounds and solid similarities that help them come together in a believable way, but the epilogue was really rushed and simple and I kind of wish it wasn't even there. This might have been better served if the ending would have been left to the reader's imagination, though some of it made sense for the characters' personalities.

Wren has a really cool job, and I wish that we went more into her background and training as a search and rescue ranger and competent medic. The sex scene WAS sexy enough to make me want to pounce my husband as soon as I got home, so I would say that did the trick lol.

Overall, I think this gets away with its shortcomings because of the fast pace and good tension, but I wish that it was a bit longer in order to address some of its faults more. I enjoyed listening to this and would recommend it as a light hearted romance, but I do not see a need to ever read it more than once.

Thumbs up

If you’re looking for a book to escape per se, this is it. The author transported me to each and every location and completely pulled me into the character’s emotions. Only complaint I have was that it was over too soon. Enjoy.
