4-1/2 STAR COMPLETE BOOK

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

Because all the short stories were together, it felt like a complete book, even though each was a quick look at a romancing couple. The stories progressed in impact, my favorite being about James. The editing needs work because every book had one or more repeated sentences. I never buy more than the first, maybe a second, short book in a series so this was worthwhile and I loved all the characters by the end.

A lot was asked of Patrick Blackthorne, the narrator. He had a whole slew of different voices to characterize and by the end, they were all in the same short. He did an excellent job, considering. I was only irritated with one of his many female voices.

Got to give this Two Thumbs Up!

Interesting series

If you could sum up Scottish Werebear: The Complete Collection in three words, what would they be?

Intrigue, romance, and great characters.

What did you like best about this story?

I like that the intrigue of the alliance continues throughout each book. Each couple gets their HEA, but the thing that brings them together continues.

Did Patrick Blackthorne do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Blackthorne did an okay job, IMO. He did better with the men than the women. Most of the women all sounded the same.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I didn't find any laugh out loud moments or any that brought me to tears. The intrigue and action did get my heart pumping several times.

Any additional comments?

Each story is interesting in its own right and did keep me listening.

Novellas Interconnected Of Werebears and Wolves

“I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.”

There are numerous stories in the audiobook, all connected. Each allows you step back at the end for a bit if you want to change audiobooks, but I found them very enjoyable to listen to back to back. You like each character, likeable and and they draw you in. Also since they are novellas and part that causes angst is short lived, which I like.
I also like revisiting the couples.
I enjoyed the narrator, he had good pacing and a voice so easy to listen to. I would have liked some Scottish lilt, one of the reasons I like audiobooks is to her ear the accents. This wasn't a deal breaker for me.
I would recommend if you like shifter stories, worth it.

A Great Box set

I got this book via the author. I enjoyed listening to the first three again. The last ones fell in line with the others. Book three was not my favorite. It seemed to fall a little flat. Loved Books one and two. The set tells the complete story. Although they are stand alone books it is better to listen to all of them together to get a full understanding of what the stories are all about. I believe they are worth the credit.

Prefect!!

Any additional comments?

This audiobook was given to me for unbiased review. I love paranormal romances, alpha males funny heroines, the best. This collection gives readers the best shifter romances all in one. The Scottish flair added depth, and culture. This collection has action, suspense, romance and steamy scenes. This is a 5 stars. The only thing i would say is that the novellas were too short, other then that perfection.

Glad I Gave It A Chance

Shifters have been hiding in plain sight for years. When the strict and selective changes within the shifter community, threaten to pull apart forbidden unions between humans and shifters. A movement arises to bring shifters out of hiding and forge a fragile alliance between the shifters and humans.

I listened to the first book in this series in 2016. I was enjoying the story until it cuts off abruptly at the end with no resolution. To say I was put out is an understatement. The story was so well written and had a great flow, so to be dumped unceremoniously at the end hurt.

When the full collection came out, I decided to bite the bullet and give the audiobook a try. I so happy that I did. Scottish Werebear: The Collection is wonderful, it consists 6 novellas and each tells a complete story with just a tease of what’s coming up in the next story in the series. There’s also a couple of short stories at the end of the audiobook.

My personal favorite it Book 5, but all the stories in this nearly 17-hour audiobook are good. Patrick Blackthorne narrates the entire series and I loved his reading of this fully voiced production. The sound and audio quality is good, although I did catch a couple of segments that had some extraneous sounds.

I’m glad I got over my snit and gave this audiobook a try. It’s a good story with just the right amount of heat added. I’ll definitely be on the lookout for more audiobooks from Lorelei Moone.

OMG!!! This is my new favorite series!

It has been a really long time since I have had to listen to or read a series in its entirety in just days. She grabbed me from the first book until the last and I'm wanting more. I am praying that there will be more.

Enjoyable set of stories

Any additional comments?

3.5 stars

Entertaining and enjoyable set of short novellas all combined into one book.
I had previously listened and reviewed the first 3 books in the series. It was great to dive back into the world of the Scottish Werebear's and hear the rest of their stories.

I enjoyed the rest of the series just as much as I did the first 3 books. The stories all intertwine continuing the overall bigger story that spans the entire series with each book focusing on a couple and their HEA.

Large interesting cast of characters along with a mixture of suspense, intrigue, steamy romance and a bit of action.

Patrick Blackthorne does a good job with the narration. Pleasant voice. Easy to listen to for long periods of time. Good character voices. Even his female voices are good. Nice smooth even pace of narration. Still no sign of any Scottish accent though. A Scottish accent would have added to the overall enjoyment of the stories and characters.

Editing issues? There are several lines throughout the book that are repeated. Book 4, Chapter 12 there are several repeated lines. Book 6, Chapter 13 repeated line. Those are just 2 examples of times where I was able to write down them down.
