Publisher's Summary

It's not just a trilogy any more. In the fifth book of this popular series, Arthur Dent makes the terrible mistake of starting to enjoy life, and immediately all hell breaks loose. In short, it's up to him to save the world from total multi-dimensional obliteration, the Guide from a hostile alien takeover, and the daughter he never knew he had from herself. A tall order, to say the least. And one he's really not up to, thank you very much.
Don't miss the first parts of the series, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

The end....

Great story, however, was a little disappointed in the way it ended. so I guess I'm going on to the next book, AND ANOTHER THING.

Love Hitchiking

Hitchhiker is just plain fun. I loved the series when i was young. I read it in college, and again in Med school, and again when i started reading for pleasure again, and now I am going to listen to them all.
I cannot wait. I just wish Douglas was alive for more, but I am about to read Coffer's installment (or try) for a 6th book in the series.

Pretty entertaining.

I love Martin Freeman as the narrator for all of these books. This was not my favorite book in this series, but I am glad I listened to it.

not impressed

it's a great series but the last book is a dud in my opinion. the reading was fantastic but Freeman doesn't have the same material to work with as he does with other books in the series. disappointing.

I just cannot believe it's over

I've binged the Hitchhiker's guide series and enjoyed every second. I feel empty now. Would definitely, without a trace of any doubt, read again

Both good stand-alone and part of the series

This time Adams focus on the concept of parallel universes. It could quickly be very strange and confusing, but he manages it in an entertaining and thought provoking way. Many funny bits. Didn't quite get the ending, but guess I'll hear it again.
