Publisher's Summary

This is it.

Alpha team goes once more into the breach.

On what will be their final missions ever in the Zulu Alpha - and the fight of their lives — Homer & Ali, and Predator & Juice, launch out into the terminal post-Apocalypse, as London is overrun by the very last rush of death covering the entire planet. Neither mission can fail, but can all four teammates survive? Or will some go down safeguarding the lives of those they love more than life itself?

Handon fights his way back from the dead.

As reinforcements flood into CentCom, ahead of the onslaught of the undead world, one man lies in a coma at the heart of humanity's final fallback position. But will the ghosts of all those who've fallen before, and the love of those who yet remain, be enough to bring him back to life, and back to the fight, in time to lead the final battle?

The last survivors man the Alamo of the Alamo.

As CentCom is overrun, and it all collapses and the screen goes black, the last heroes of humanity have one final chance to save the world. But as they cling to one another in their shrinking circle of life, will they be able pull it off from the mast of the last sinking ship in a world submerged in a sea of death...?

Love. Death. The End of the line. Endgame.

Hours of chaos!!!

An outstanding series with a truly great conclusion. Hours of chaos and destruction of the living and dead. This is a must read for zombie horror fans and military fans as well.
Hands down my favorite book series of all time.

..and then..

This has been one of the most frustrating series I have ever read. It is a great story, well read and with good characters.. but the author totally over uses the 'anything that will go wrong, will go wrong'.. every single half step forward is met with something going wrong and 3 steps backwards.. followed by 20 pages dealing with the issue that went wrong. It makes for an incredible frustrating read. The entire series would have been one of the best series ever had it been 9 or 10 books only. In many places, it just drags on and on and on..

Alright chaps let's leave the armory unguarded

I have two main problems with this book and the series as a whole.

1. I get it it is the Zpoc, but not everything needs to go wrong. We all have heard of Murphy's law but this book imagines it as Robocop himself kicking them in the shins. if there is a tiny crack in a wall better bet your sweet British butt that eight zombies, a terrorist, and the devil himself is coming through that in a chapter or two. Trying to show a slippery slope of panic and haste leading to disaster builds tension, but when everyone is having Murphy personally giving them the shaft it stops becoming tense and starts becoming a Benny Hill comedy hour. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if while aiming at a zombie a man's gun jams then a grenade that he hastily attached to his rig pops off armed while his pants drop the ground in this book.

2. The absolute total incompetence of British forces baring the royal marines. So I get it we are having a power fantasy with alpha team and the royal marines and of course Wesley and his rag tag group. So how do we show how amazing they are? Let's dumb down the rest of the forces. Now I am a civilian I never went into any military branch , but even my over fed, MT.V. riddled mind knows that maybe just maybe we should place armed guard in the one place that has all our ammo and weapons I don't know maybe I'm the Steven Hawkins of military minds. This is not the first time this series pulled this. A few books back when they were working on the spirit bomb to stop the zombies it was unguarded. I mean completely unguarded no fat security guard asking if the person entering was undead or alive not even a broom propped up against the door as a low tech locking mechanism. Look I'm American I'm down with grabbing tea and slam dunking it into the nearest body of water, but when you downgrade not only the British soldiers but their officers to the point that I'm not sure if they can breathe without swallowing their tongues it becomes offensive.

Alright so if you have read this far congrats you received an audible award +25p listened to a rant but let's have some fun and talk about some tropes that are super worn out not only in this book but just in Zpoc books in general ready?

BONUS ROUND! SUPER FUN TIME ZOMBIE TROPES

if there are marines in your book better bet your sweet American big Mac loving ass one of them is gunnery sargent I eat nails and pis s freedom harker.

and the race is off who will win? the shuffling horde of zombies or Dr. James the last doctor on earth who accidently farted in the DNA sequencer and may have found a cure.

Ok this one is from the book guilty I am Russian strong as bear we need scientist for evil world plan comrade. seriously Russians? dude it's not the 1980's lay off the red scare

This is a g 36 with a 16 inch barrel 50 round drum magazine 4 times acog combi sight with underslung grenade launcher, master key, and sword laser sight and does your taxes while telling your ex wife to take a leap firing 5.56 NATO rounds manufactured in Nevada where the guy making the bullet is suffering from chronic heartburn who doesn't make enough to support his gun buying habits. Look it's ok to describe a weapon it is not ok to jerk off on it gums up the action.

This is top of the line military armored tank it has 120mm cannon 8 light machine guns coaxile tow missle system and a line to Jesus himself to bring the wrath of God down on any that approach. "sir that zombie can move at the speed of a medium sized cat!" "Well gentlemen we are dead"

left for read: we got shambling zombies and we got runners but we NEED our special one of a kind only in this book zombie variant be it smart zombies, vampire zombies (looking at you mark tufo) zombies that fly, faster than a speeding bullet can jump over a building in a single bound!

overall super played out should of ended the series four books ago and all these problems would of been way better but after what thirteen books of this I'm done didn't finish this story know how it's going to end crap gets bad the cure is going to almost be used but like parks trips over a broom or a cat attacks him and one of the main characters will die to make sure it's done huzah.

P.S R.C Bray keep at it you sexy man you can describe how to carve a wood figure and I'd listen to it

Best ZA series EVER!!!

I would recommend this series to anyone who likes ZA, military, action, comedy, drama or simply a really great story with amazing characters, plot lines and an ending worthy of a 14-book time investment. Michael Stephen Fuchs is a master story teller who weaves all the aforementioned genres into an epic journey. Thank you Michael for the adventure.

The longest journey - the best gifts

The longest, most stressful, wonderful, and enjoyable rollercoaster book series I ever read. On one hand, I wanted it to end and for humanity to win. On the other hand, I didn’t want this rollercoaster to end.

I’ve been listening (and re-listening) to these books since the very beginning. It carried me through tough times in life and business. Running a startup, raising money, competing, acquiring customers... its survival in a brutal world, plain and simple.

Very quickly I’ve learned that it’s all about adopting and overcoming every obstacle. It’s about positive attitude and believing that everything, EVERYTHING can be won.

And of course, going through my mother’s death, challenges at home, raising a family, being a husband, I’ve realized it’s about love. Love for everyone, your close family, your non-so-close family, your friends, your employees, your coworkers, your neighbors, your countrymen, your country. Everyone.

Thank you for an amazing journey. You have gifted us something special that we sometimes forget - hope.

very intertaining! both the content and the perfor

The only negative thing I can write about this book is the fact that it is the last in the series! Reading (listening) to more than 14 books with consistent protagonists really gets one involved with the characters. The way Mr. Fuchs built the books really was impressive. This kind of end of world theme can be really silly but not these. Solid story line and wonderful narration by Mr. Bray. What really set it apart is the way that Fuchs built the characters like Dr. (Russian) Vassily and his lines when talking to himself about "the bugs". Over and over this kind of internal dialogue occurs with different people.

All great things must come to an end.

Best series ever written. The author captured many things beautifully to include Joseph Campbell, Frankl Shakespeare and Camus...probably more but this Marine caught those ones when they popped up. I will miss the characters. Just so so awesome.

The Last Hope of Humanity!

They were our last hope, just two men stood between ultimate success or crushing failure. Everything that had gone before from deepest Africa to the coastline of the United States, from Moscow to the biggest cities in Western Europe would have been for nothing if two lone souls did not prevail against the odds. The hopes of thousands rested upon their shoulders, the possibility of humanity achieving one of its pinnacles of achievement stood on the precipice.

Yet these two men had proved themselves tier one operators time and time again. They had honed their skills and survived numerous tight deadlines over years of hard fighting. The deadliest and most evil intents had been thrown against them and they had returned them all with interest. This was no ordinary unit they were the best of the best and they knew it.

The pressure was on though, thousands of eyes and ears turned the spotlight of expectation on them. The weight of what went before, all their achievements would have been for nothing if they failed with this one last battle, this one last Herculean task. They just had to push through this final time . . . Michael Lightning Fuchs and R.C. Thundervoice Bray took up their weapons and faced the Endgame . .

Okay, in the style of this series maybe a little over-dramatic, okay not even maybe! However, if these guys had failed to deliver a brilliant ending to this series, if they'd failed to give these wonderful characters a fitting finale then it would have been such a letdown. In this genre this series stands out delivering almost non-stop action and tension from start to finish. Handon, Ali, Kate, Juice, Pred, Fick, Sarah, Charlotte, Hackworth, Jamieson, Noise and so many others, in fact even the dead demanded an ending that did them justice. Failure to do that would have been enough to bring tears to the eye. Fuchs went for broke giving us the longest Arisen book yet and he delivered all that we've come to expect with high octane tension, violence and gore straight from the off.

Most important of all he gave us that fitting ending, I won't say what it was of course but he did them proud! Thankyou Michael and RC for what is undoubtedly one of the very best series of audiobooks I've ever had the pleasure to listen to.

NONE STOP ACTION.

A fitting finish to what is in my opinion one of the greatest series of books I've ever read or listened to. All of it brought to life by the greatest narrator out there R.C.Bray.

You live every moment with every character and you feel as exhausted as they must do. ...... I don't know what else to say but EPIC!

Excellent and fitting conclusion

After a coupe of duds in the series the conclusion is everything you could hope for. Non stop edge of your seat stuff!
A few irritating bits of the story seemed to be irrelevant extra padding, for supposed tier one operators whose expertise got them through, rather too much seemed to go wrong with the operations this time.
RC Bray is as good as ever.

Great series interesting throughout

Although a few drag points mid series, it’s a great story and keeps you entertained.

The way the books refer back to past things in previous books brings them all together many series forget this and each book is its own.

absolutely amazing zombie story one of the best.

the narrator is great.
the story is great.
the entire series is just amazing.
the puns at the end towards the walking dead completly hit the mark lol.
all in all this is exactly how a zombie situation should be.
humans are a threat, zombies are still a threat, unlike the walking dead where zombies just become like flys tones of them but just annoying.
