It’s fine
It has all the components of my favorite books, but it never quite caught me. The first and last hours of listening were the most entertaining. The middle limped along. The romance was cute. The writing was adequate. The narrator seemed bored.

Likable but not spectacular
I’m not sure why this one didn’t grab me more. It has everything I like on a story and yet it didn’t grab me like it should. I liked it enough that I will get the next book. but I’m not racing out to do so.
The narrator really held me back. She read the book like a book report. Also there were so many odd pronunciation that pulled me from the story.

Confusing
I think there were moments of the lead being bisexual or at least appreciating the same sex. It seemed out of place and not necessary. But I was listening to the book so maybe I got it wrong.
