Easy listening

Good story. Relatable characters and situations. .or was a little dramatic at times, but I still like her character. Easy listening. Little accents didn’t seem authentic, but it wasn’t bothersome. Added a little personality to the characters.

Engaging from beginning to end

It was a well told story and all the loose ends were wrapped up. The narrator did very well. I just didn't like the main female character. She was selfish and ungrateful... I get trauma response but her lack of gratitude for all of the main male character's sacrifices and lack of respect for his feelings and willingness to be vulnerable was a turn off for me.

Good listen

Story was interesting. Zoey will make you want to pull your hair out. She was very ungrateful but you can understand it’s a trauma reaction

A great performance

This was a great sequel performance and I enjoyed listening to it from beginning to the end.

Loved It2!

Loved book 2. I like it that the author does not leave you hanging. That does not mean she does not leave you wanting more but at least the storylines give you a sense of finality for that book but wanting to know what develops beyond that. I am really loving the series

Brave and Vulnerable

To love someone you have to be brave enough to be vulnerable. Synithia Williams did an excellent job of showing strength, courage and vulnerability as these two star crossed lovers finally get their second chance at love. She shows how even people who appear to have it all have weaknesses too. But some weaknesses make us better. I loved this book, the characters were dynamic and real.

Good but....

The storyline was very good. Not quite sure why the narrator chose to read in the slow. country accent she used, but it almost caused me to stop listening. I'm glad I continued because I really enjoyed the story. About 3 chapters into this story I realized this one was part of a series, and I had listened to book 3 a few months ago. Oh, well. now that I'm finished with books 2 and 3, I guess I'll go back to book 1. Although I've listened to this series totally out of order, I am still enjoying it. Two thumbs up for the author.

Very engaging

I enjoyed this story. I liked the characters and was drawn into the mystery of who was threatening Zoe. I also liked the narration by Adenrele Ojo. Well done.

Meh.

Although it was well written I found Zoey insufferable. I get that her past was traumatic but get some therapy.

Enjoyable

The story was good and the reading was great. The accents were a little much sometimes but helped to distinguish the characters.
