A Hilarious Adventure!

Some books are good, and some are pure fun—this one was a riot from start to finish! The author has a gift for humor, and it shines on every page. Whether it was the laugh-out-loud dialogue, the ridiculous yet endearing situations, or the moments of sheer comedic chaos, I couldn’t stop smiling.

It’s rare to find a book that makes you laugh so hard while also holding you in suspense. I was hooked and eager to see how everything would play out.

And then came the ending—absolute perfection! It wrapped things up in a way that was both satisfying and uplifting. Watching the characters grow right to the last page was the cherry on top.

If you’re in the mood for a book that will brighten your day and leave you with a smile long after it’s over, look no further. This one is a gem. I’m already counting the days until the next book—keep them coming!

I think I have another new favorite writer!!! I listened to both of these books in maximum three days! I would definitely be BFFs with Claire! Both books were so captivating, and I never could have guessed how it would all play out!

Another great Claire Hartley story

Oh my goodness. The second book in this series was just as good as the first one. Again the story hooked me in and took me along for a hilarious and twisty ride. It is a crazy comedic masterpiece that has suspense and mystery and love and a little bit of spice. It has the perfect balance of all the things. The story is full of witty, endearing, real, and relatable characters who have flaws, but are really just trying to do their best as messy humans. And I loved them because of their messy quirky humanness. This book picks up after the last book ended. Our heroine, Claire, an event planner who specializes in wedding proposal planning, has survived the stabbing by her stalker and is trying to deal with the trauma. Our hero, Luke, an award winning documentary videographer, is still dating Claire. Unfortunately, it seems that Claire’s amateur sleuthing and potential danger is not over when she is targeted by a copycat stalker. All coupled with relationship drama, family of origin drama, business drama and an ongoing criminal case. Sprinkled throughout the story, once again told solely from Claire’s POV, are the same wonderful secondary characters with a few new ones added. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series and I have an overwhelming urge to go buy a few binders. 4.5 stars.

Lila Winters did a phenomenal job narrating the story and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly.
