Publisher's summary

You met Joe Winston in Lori Foster's Wild. Now, the Winston brothers' seductive, bad-boy cousin is back and up against a woman who's immune to his considerable charms - or so it seems....

Irresistible force - meet immovable object

Joe Winston has a routine with women: He exists; they swoon; roll credits. With his smoldering looks, macho style, and irrepressible charm, Joe can have any woman - except the one he really wants. Secretly, Luna Clark may lust after Joe, but she's made it clear that she's too smart to fall for him. He can just keep holding his breath, thank you very much. But now, Luna's inherited two kids who need more than she alone can give in a small town that seems hell-bent on driving them away. She needs someone to help out...someone who can't be intimidated...someone just like Joe. Becoming an instant family wasn't exactly what Joe had in mind, but hey, it's a start, and you can't blame a guy for trying every angle.

After all, where there's a Joe, there's a way...straight into a woman's heart.

Contains mature themes.

Feel good romance

I love Tor Thom’s work. Other than his sometimes poorly chosen whiny voices, he does bass nicely, while still being able to do women’s voices without sounding like an obnoxious drag queen.

The story could have been more, but if one just wants an uncomplicated romance, that is very predictable, so no anxiety…this fits the bill. A little too much foreshadowing, again it is so very, very predictable. Definitely some missed opportunities in the suspense department, as it feels like the author became tired of writing and wrapped it up quickly.

At least the stupid, cheesy, overly descriptive, waxing poetic, last scene description was short. Some books can go bad in the last pages with that cheesy, cinematic overview, Minnesota goodbye of an ending.

Not quite a 4 star, but I gave it 4 because they made the effort to pay for a decent narrator.

Love Lori Foster. Hate the Narrator

It was so hard to get through this book with the narrator you chose. I tolerated it because I love Lori Foster, but please do not let this guy do romances any more.

Story too cute for the narrator to try so hard...

No man actually sounds like this, it was distracting...like having a creeper trying to whisper hit on you all story long. 😒

Classic Lori Foster. Epic narration by Tor Thom.

I have loved Lori Foster for years. So happy to see this in audio. Tor Thom has done it again. Simply mesmerizing. That voice is sinfully delicious. Blushworthy! Can't wait for the next one in the series.

I love that Lori Foster is being one of my favorite series to audio. Visitation, NC becomes a special place and Joe & Luna certainly are a terrific start. They are both introduced in the Winston series. They The chemistry they share scares Luna it is so strong. As two rather unusual individuals their story is one for the book, literally.

mystery/romance

this is primarily a mystery with some love story thrown in. I don't think there were any smiles here. Who's the guy watching from the hill? who's doing the vandalism? why? the need to know what's happening in the background is what's good about the story took a good while to guess the plot. Ending wrapped all the details up pretty thoroughly. Glad I listened
