Publisher's summary

Families have secrets. Roxy’s family had more than its share. So, she flees to Hollywood to follow her dream and create a new life for herself. Easier said than done. Though bombarded with daily challenges, Roxy and Ginn, her wounded warrior roommate, manage to find humor in their frequent calamities with the help of an amazing dog. But then, Roxy's mother moves in...

Along comes the well-connected acting coach, James Jonathan Jarvis, and Roxy’s big break in showbiz: A part in a reality TV show with a wilderness survival theme. Her hopes crumble when her confused mother disappears a week before rehearsals are to begin. Roxy’s search leads her to Northern Wyoming where she and Madeline become trapped in a real life-and-death situation. Will her recently learned survival skills be enough to save them both?

Saving Madeline is an entertaining story with humor, emotion, and an unusual mother-daughter relationship. One reviewer described Ms. Rohman’s novel as Joy meets Roommates with a touch of Still Alice.

Hope is powerful thing

This book was not what I expected. It was crazy at times and sad at times. Roxy moves to Hollywood to become an actress, she lives in an apartment with neighbors that can be strange at times. She ends up befriending Gin and her dog Tonic. Then her sister drops her Mother at her place and leaves. So now Roxy has Gin and Tonic, her mother and herself living in the apartment and things are getting worse. They think her Mom has early onset Alzheimer's, Gin is blind and has PTSD and she needs a job. Roxy is trying so hard to keep them all together and sane. Hope is what she needs right now. I enjoyed my time with all of them in this story.
