Publisher's Summary

From best-selling author Jane Green comes a stunning new novel about a shattered marriage and a devastating betrayal.

Grace Chapman has an enviable set-up, living comfortably with her husband on the Hudson River. Then Ted advertises for a new assistant, and Beth walks into their lives. Organized, passionate and eager to learn, Beth quickly makes herself indispensable to Ted and his family. But Grace soon begins to feel sidelined in her home - and her marriage - by this ambitious younger woman.

Is Grace paranoid or is there more to Beth than there appears?

Can’t review audiobook

I had to return this book after trying to listen I never got to the end of the first chapter. I really couldn’t listen to more of the narration. I may go and buy the kindle version. I have gone down the middle with the story because it may be very good and audible wouldn’t allow me to ignore the star count

Snoozefest

Struggled to get past the 3rd chapter. The slow reading and accent put me off. But the story is a snoozefest. I wish it got better.
