Christ-Focused Bible Study

I've read or listened to dozens of books on how to study the Bible, and while most of them were really good, they all seemed to focus more on the HOW not the WHY. Saturation Bible Study is different … it does teach the HOW, but his emphasis is on the WHY behind Bible study (to know Jesus and be transformed by truth). And the concept of "saturation" is life-changing! It has changed the way I engage with the Bible and it has deepened my intimacy and relationship with God to a level I didn't know was possible—the idea of "living" in the Word of God all throughout the day, rather than merely have a devotional time in the morning, is truly freeing, joyful, and an amazing way to grow spiritually in my walk with Christ. And perhaps my favorite aspect of the book is that it is entirely Christ-focused—in a Christian culture that seems to diminish the centrality of Christ and the authority of Scripture, I love books that are based on the truth of God's Word and keep Jesus as the focus. So, if you want to understand God's Word, grow in your relationship with Christ, or gain a fresh vision for how Bible study can change your life, I highly recommend you get this book! In short, though this review may be a bit biased as the author, I love this book, the concept of "saturation" has radically changed my life over the past twenty years, and am beyond grateful it is finally available to help others like it has helped me.

Repetitive

The book is very repetitive, repeats the same point over and over and over. No depth to this book. Don't just read the Bible, but saturate yourself in it (you just heard the whole book). save time and money, don't waste your time on this one.
