It’s all Reuben the Jerk’s fault, and she’s determined to make him right the wrong. He does so, reluctantly, by giving her a job at his restaurant, The Sandwich Shop. Then crazy things start happening at the restaurant, and Kyle’s foster parents apply to adopt him. To stop it all, Maddie must learn the art of humbling herself and accepting the help God has arranged, risking her heart to Reuben in the process. And she’d rather eat a million corned beef on rye sandwiches than do that.

I found this book refreshingly funny. The main character is REAL and comes to life. Her relationship with God is obtainable for people real people. What an AMAZING story. I am just upset that this writer only has ONE audio book. Which means I can’t listen to her others because I am working and can’t stop to actually read. Please do your other books. I share all of my good reads with the other women who do what I do. AP

Loved

This was such a great book. I couldn't stop listening. Several reviews commented on the main characters relationship with God. I found the take to be real, not offensive. She was a new believer and it was an honest portrayal of questions, doubts, fears and misconceptions.
Very clean, Christian book with a lot of heart. Highly recommend.
